I Put On

The deal from some months ago that I thought was the big lick fizzled out. It’s nothing new to me as I enjoy the high of the possibilities and roll with the lows and think it’s part of the game. But, while other people usually stay mad and think kats are out to get them I usually soften the blow of my departure by putting on kats I met in my travels who would love what I’m walking away from. I’ve worked in some fvcked up places in my life and met some really good people. So I consider it my duty when something crosses my desk to reach out to them and cosign them into a better position.
So this is exactly what I did today. The deal fell through on Monday, I told them I won’t be around on Tuesday, we agreed on exit pay and and timetable on Wednesday and I put on a old associate of mine on Thursday. I knew a kat who was getting murdered but was a solid worker who had no real ambition or guts to chase these chips so I gave him the best pay raise a cat can get and that’s a cosign into a new spot. He was grateful of course and the plantation was thankful I didn’t just leave them with nothing by me saying I’ll be out in 48 hours.
Thinking back I’ve done this at about the last 7 deals that fell through. I try not to let my emotions get the best of me so I plug the hole in the dam I left. Most people with money are shortsighted so they make moves and think no one will do anything about it. But, they are usually about to cry when I leave because once you make your move I come back with mine. So long story short the kat is happy he got a raise by taking on a new gig. The plantation is happy and is setting up a finders fee for me helping them plug the hole. I already got another thing set up for February but I’m still getting paid from old Plantation at a higher rate through January. And, just like you kats I’m enjoying my vacation plotting, planning and scanning the scenery for new things.
Cop and Blow homie until we get to the top but while hustling to get there try to pull good people up as you vacate the spot. I don’t do it to make favors in the future I do it because I can… same as with the R&G!

@Miles – Bruh I dont’ sweat it as I’m happy to be in the game. Got to have something valuable to bring to the table in order for a deal to come into being. So I’ll keep setting up the next one and the next one as that’s the hustle. Rather lose them than never have them. One will work out sooner or later.
