Up the Ladder

9519758-a-man-standing-in-a-pit-looking-up-to-the-ladder-that-leads-out-in-to-the-lightWhen the police round up drug dealers they know they’ll get the best information from the dudes on the bottom of the game. Usually they allow them to snitch for immunity bringing down a whole organization instead of just some dudes on the street. They know that the best information and those who are willing to give it to them are the people who don’t get paid that much and are not loyal to the boss.

Such is the way you need to think about the game when you are trying to get information about your competition. More than likely the messenger who delivers their packages or their correspondence will tell you everything that comes in and out of there for a couple of bucks. Since there ain’t no love in this game the people who don’t get love will always be the first to dime you out. More than likely the kat running the cash register will hook you up because none of the merchandise is his and he’s not getting paid enough. More than likely the kat who is ambitious but is being told to wait his turn will tell you how that company make money.

You got to work the game Up the Ladder when you are trying to get information to bring down a Empire. It’s not like you are going to break into a boardroom meeting or give a executive a Rufee or truth serum to get detailed information.  As a company gets bigger and bigger the people on the bottom become more useless and thus are treated that way. They will always be your best source of information and since they are paid less SO if you talk with chips in your hand they’ll give you a gold mine for coal prices.

Since most Eggheads believe their own hype they’ll never worry about the kat in the mailroom pretty much selling secrets to their game. It’s a mistake of all people to believe the kat serving you soup is harmless when he could pee in your chicken noodles. So if you’re looking for information start at the bottom as the mailman, UPS, cashier, warehouse worker, truck driver and supermarket cart attendant as they probably have information you need to beat your competition.

This is so true, disgruntled employees whether on the street or corporate environment are dangerous. One of the best employer I ever had did so many small things that kept cats extra loyal. Not once did I ever feel like fuck this dude and think about selling him out. I stayed until I found something better but by him showing equal respect, being credible and a showing a little extra love cats were down for him.

It’s actually possible without even paying; by calling up customer services or ask cashiers info as a writer or an insider doing a survey. The Art of Deception by Mitnick has a few examples.

I have tried it a few times just to see if it would work, it’s not for the faint of the heart though it’s borderline illegal – when you retrieve personal passwords or access confidential information directly

@Cfinest – It’s funny that all you have to do is treat everyone fair and people will not do that to you. But, as long as there are people who take the grunt worker slave for granted they will be a ally in your demise. This post is just one to grow on.

@Abdoul – Agreed but if you do it right you can get all you need from another kat with no loyalty to the plantation. Especially kats who can see the money it’s almost like they get mad that the plantation ain’t paying them more for when they see the money come in. I myself was one of those kats who saw the money coming in and if someone would have paid me a G I would’ve given them the whole empire. Especially working for devils.
