The Illusion

Learned something from my brother today that made me think about how simple and genius it was. Sometimes I get caught up in not wanting to give a inch that I actually lose a mile. I can see where people are coming from and where they’re going so before they open their mouth I usually want to put my fist in it. But, since I was in the Soldier mood of fvcking kill everything I reached out to my brother for some advice.
Basically he said give them the illusion that you have adjusted to their ways. A example of this is someone getting mad that you don’t stay after 5pm for work. So instead of showing up at 8 just change it to 8:30 and leave at 5:30. Now these fvcks think you are staying later but in actuality you’re probably staying less. It’s all the same 8 hours but usually cats who come in before 8 show up 20 minutes before. So since the damn idiot wants you to stay late they actually lost the extra time most people would give coming in earlier.
So in my situation it was dealing with people, politics and egos. Shit I have a healthy 100% all fiber, cleaned out the bullshit a long time ago ego. You’ll find out being a Black Man people try to control you and although you could make them remember Nat Turner with a couple of looks; it’s better if we just get the job done. The whole game of dealing with Bitch Made people just rubs me the wrong way. I keep thinking this is all this slave has and he’s trying to be the HSIC. In my dealings I usually am able to talk the way that makes them feel I respect their position. But, everyonce in a while we got a challenger to a fake empire that he maintains.
Long story short I just shorted his ass on the front end. I gave him the illusion that it was the same deal but it ain’t but to the slave filled eye it does. What would it matter to me changing times a bit in the overall scheme of things. I have to stay on point and on mission so adjustments have to happen. But, what my brother taught me today was priceless as I never tried to give people the illusion they received what they wanted. I guess there’s a lot more to this game I have yet to learn.

That was some good advice your brother gave you! Most people are stupid enough to believe anything, so you make them believe that you are a team player. Just remember when you leave you are your own person and they can’t touch that!

even though i kmow i have more in my bank account then my manager, i still blend in with the others

@TK – Yeah, I can be stubborn sometimes and during those times when all I want to do is kill I reach out to people. The truth of the matter is I don’t like being on anyone’s team. I can do a strategic alliance for mutual benefit but being on someone’s team… ahh I don’t like it at all.
@JBird – Bruh, I ain’t good at blending anymore as I see too much of the game. Eventhough most people are unaware of the game they are in and are harmless dealing with the slave mentality is draining on me personally.
Most CEO’s blend in because they have a million field hands making money for them. I have to always keep in mind that most people believe in the system and me not believing in it makes me stand out.
@Anubis – Yep Head Slave in Charge. Life is full of them as without that plantation to stand on they wouldn’t be anything but a regular cat who can’t make any money and do for self. That’s why they defend it so much as attacking the master is attacking them. WE SICK BOSS!
check it – I didn’t come in to work last Monday . There was a lot to do on the plantation that day. But my schedule changed exactly on that day so I was OFF ( ize free ) !!
Now it was an oversight on the “bosses” part she would have wanted me to come in. No haps – and on tuesday she played it off like it was all good I didnt come in on Monday , but she gave me a lot of sh*t to do ( busy work ) on Tuesday ( greezy ) . In the past I might have come in knowing that she F-ed up as usual. But like you said they want you to be perfect give 110% and all that jazz – this is how you handle that lol…

Bruh, no matter how slow or fast you work on the plantation you’re going to get paid the same. They know that so they come up with weird ways to apply pressure to the weak minded folks. You have to be able to see it for what it is and give them the illusion that you will react the way they hope. In the end when you don’t they will come up with something new to throw at you. The devils game don’t stop and that’s why you have to get out of their game and start you own.
