Lead Or Follow

A lot of Poverty Propaganda Preachers tell you in order to be a good Leader you have to be a good Follower. I’m sure they mean it in the context of falling back sometimes but I hate when people just throw shit out there with no context at all….. ie… Right ON, right on what motherfvcker! I often think it’s a choice of how you want to live your life. For me I rather take my chances with my own way of thinking than fvck around and start copying off the next kat. Now that doesn’t mean I don’t listen but it does mean I ain’t behind that kat.
See most people think the decision to Lead or Follow only comes up in big situations. But, think about it for a second; you have been deciding if you want to roll with them or roll on your own since you were a kid. When someone didn’t let you play with them you had two reactions to it. Either you cried and felt rejected or you got mad and plotted to either have your own or take their shit. In my life I got mad a lot and still do to this day as I don’t like the idea of following aka waiting on someone to let me in. Sure there have been times when I could’ve sat and waited but I felt like a fvcking pussy in my heart. I don’t like the weak feeling of admitting that someone else holds the key to my future.
Lead or Follow is a choice we make everyday. Either you’re plotting to get your freedom or you’re hiding under the stairs stealing cookies or you’re hoping someone shows favor on you. I’m sure in the White Jesus Bible it’s brainwash for being humble, waiting on the Lord and paying your dues. I’m sure in your business books it’s brainwash for no one makes it on their own, banks are your friend and no one can lead all the time. But, in reality to Lead or Follow is a choice between strong and weak. It might be strategic to Follow for a while but even that tactic is used to build up enough resources to Lead.
I’ve never heard someone call anyone a follower and mean it in a good way. In church a follower is the blind who don’t know the Bible. It’s always been seen as 2nd place or even 3rd and for a lot of Suckers it’s no 125 in the MLM line. I’ve never heard the word follower associated with anyone who leads a nation, leads a army or leads a movement. The right way is everyone leads in their own way and leaders come together to get their common goals accomplished. But, none of them are followers!
To Lead or Follow is a choice we make everyday. Somehow 2nd and 3rd place is supposed to be great when in reality you the nobody standing next to the Man!

In my opinion, everyone is a follower. No man is an island. There would be no employer if there wasn’t an an employee. There would be no chief without indians, and no leader without followers. They both have to exist. No matter how financially independent you may be, we all depend on others in some form or another. The banks, grocery stores, power company, gas stations, construction workers,etc.. Try living on an island by yourself and then realize how important even the weakest players on the team are to us. If you’ve been given the gift of leadership or any superior gift then that’s great but don’t sh#t on those that don’t have it or don’t desire to do so. They’re your greatest assets. Why belittle them or think less of them? We are all not meant to be the same nor think the same. But as a collective we benefit each other just like nature. I’m a leader. I made 6 figures in corporate America without a degree from the ground up just by grinding, reading business books, and out thinking my opponents. My thoughts were always to work smarter not harder. After 5yrs with them I decided to enrich my self and not them. although, getting canned made that easier, real talk. Lol. I now run my own business and make just as much as before. It took a couple of years but once you learn the formula to your craft, the money flows heavily. Freeman I respect your mind and get inspiration all the time from your blogs but stop beating up those that are different from us an continue to awaken the ones who seek knowledge in the game. Lastly, the Bible is a source for knowledge and prosperity: Seek and ye shall find… Ask and ye shall receive… God doesn’t want us to be broke, he doesn’t like laziness, but he doesn’t want us to worship worldly things. Also, the Bible doesnt support Jesus being white. That’s what we see in movies,pictures, and on Jesus pieces by those who control the media. But never mind the appearance of the messenger did you get the message. Put God first and take action behind a smart plan. Failure just teaches you what not to do in order to succeed. Again, I respect you and love what you do. It takes ball. And yours are big bro. Reminds me of the convo Achilles had with the kid in the beginning of the movie Troy. Check it out. Also, I got one request? Write up a blog requesting those who are having success tell what hustle has been profitable for them. I’m sure we can all learn from each other. Rather than forcing you to search for profitable hustles all the time. I would be down for sharing game. Good job my dude.
That was a good ass comment though I can’t hate. My perception of followers is basically that fear plays the biggest role. Nobody wants to challenge the boss on stupid azs decisions they make to end up broke the next month cause they ran their mouth like Leaders do.
@Roy – There’s a time and place for everything but for those who aren’t doing it strategically they’re just going nowhere.
@Jay – When you think about it it’s a way to pacify your natural ability to master your own domain. Why when you hear other folks talk about how they made it they never mention how much of a follower they were? They were leading theirselves until they found a way to really take the lead.
@Derek – Bruh let me answer that response in bullet points.
- Everything is interdependent on another TRUE! But, when it comes to your personal spot and space in this world it’s up to you.
- You call it belittling and I call it making sure we don’t have that weak shit in us. I don’t call out anyone’s name specifically but I do show you how their mentality brings ruin to them.
- Bruh we are all supposed to be the same when it comes to basic shit. If that was the case the majority of people wouldn’t talk, walk nor run. Why is that a given that we all should do that but thinking of how we should do for self be a crap shoot? Why is it everyone can learn English at a early age but then people say it’s hard to learn another language? It’s all how you were taught to see the world that you allow that Sucker shit to think some people are supposed to be in certain places. Who made that shit up and why would you believe in it?
- When you started your own why did you do it? Is it because you woke up one day and said I was going the wrong way. Why wouldn’t I shit on the wrong way if it will make people think this shit won’t work out. What do you think I should do console people who will fight tooth and nail for their master. Fvck that bruh! I am not on the street nor on TV shitting on folks. I am on my own website, putting out my own podcasts and if cat’s don’t feel me they can fallback. You awaken the lost by shaking them up not by gently whispering in their ear! You see that angle all the time and no one changes do you? Proof of that is in your church as they tell you all day you could do better but no one does. Why would I follow the devils route?
- Bruh you can believe in whatever you want to believe in. But, when it comes to that Bible that book is propaganda for any BlackMan to believe and follow. GOD DAMN WHITE JESUS on your walls and when you close your brainwashed ass eyes you still see WHITE JESUS! So how can you defend something you know is tainted by those who enslaved you? - Bruh, I know we are having a frank discussion and I can roll with it. You are a Man just like me and as such you see the world your way. We got a lot of our folks lost with no direction. We have a lot of devilish leaders telling people they need to get a good job with folks who don’t like them. We have weak minded people who would rather follow than lead. - Actually I was setting up a way to let cats with a working hustle have a spot on the R&G. But, a lot of cats don’t like to show their angles as they don’t want the competition. In the end bruh the tactics used to awaken people are not in some book. It’s usually whatever works. If the R&G wasn’t offensive to some degree bruh it would look like any other fake ass Black business blog! aka you wouldn’t even pay attention.

Reminds me of the last job I had, I had to supervise a bunch of dumbasses, the kind of people that you could predict at least once a week where they “couldn’t come in cause they were sick.”
The ones that did that were shitting on themselves because they used their energy to come up with excuses to get out of work, (and in turn making people like me lose respect for them- being grown men and coming up with fake boo-boos), rather than use their precious energy to dig themselves out of the hole that is a JOB/plantation. -I agree, your personal spot and space in life is up to you. And some choose to do things and go in directions that others don’t. That’s the beauty in free will, God’s gift to man. Whether you choose to own the team or be the star quarterback, it’s your choice. It doesn’t make one’s life better than the other. The richer one could be miserable and never experience all the highs, accomplishments, fame, wild sex, and excitement that the QB experiences. On the other hand, the cashier never gets to experience the lavish life an extravagant vacations the owner of the company enjoys. It’s all relative. It just depends on the situation, who you want to be and what you consider success.
-I agree, a strong mentality is the key for anyone who desires to be an entrepreneur. It takes alot of confidence and hustle.
-I agree to an extent, again it’s all relative. Not everyone is capable of doing the same things. Mental capabilities vary just as physical capabilities. I could never physically do the things that MJ (either one) could do with his body’s or voice. You have to learn to identify your strengths, then exercise them to be the best that you can be. Just like you Freeman, your strength is that you are a think tank in the realm of business and motivation and also a great orator with the power of persuasion. You view things from above rather than across. Once you realized that, driven by your passion to share your discoveries you got in your lane and exposed the game that we are in and you learned to profitted from your work. Standing ovation my brother! As for being able to do for self, I believe anyone with that desire should go for it. It’s a great place to be in life. But know this, when all the money comes in, don’t expect it to solve all problems or that it will guarantee happiness. Money is needed to sustain, create security, relief, and provide options. The truth is we are in the pursuit of happiness. Never lose sight of that while your grinding.
- When I started my business it was because I was inspired by the lifestyle and the story of the millionaire I worked for everyday who I had the luxury to pick his brain once a week. I was also motivated by money. After earning 6 figures a year, its pretty difficult to go work for 60k or less and be happy with the check. I also loved the options that having lots of cash could afford me. But above all, I always wanted to be rich. And I couldn’t see anyone else doing that for me.So I became a go-getta.
- I disagree, The Bible was compiled long before the Atlantic slave trade. And it is based on and in Africa. Also, it’s used by people of all races around the world. Although slave owners, dictators like Hitler, psychotics, and the KKK are able to take passages from the Bible and use them for propaganda, anyone with a mediocre intellect can read for themselves an see how those individuals are misinforming them. -I have applied the information I read from most of the business books that I have read and they are what aided me in suceeding. Some books are crap but the one’s I perused were worth the money. It’s not the books half the time that’s the problem it’s the person reading them not taking action an implementing what they’ve learned after reading them. Alot of dudes just want to know sh#t but can’t get off their ass to do shi#t. These are some of the lost dudes you speak on and some people just aren’t gonna do anything for themself because they just don’t want to. Usually it’s from fear or laziness. The two devils. Well I would argue that we have far to many damn Indians and not enough Chiefs.
There are 50 Million African Americans in America with a total spending power of 1 Trillion Dollars a year and yet only 1 of us out of that 50M is a Billionaire.
So what that means is out of that 1 Trillion with a (T) that we spent last year not one other African American person made 1% of that money that our own people spent which is just 10 Billion dollars in profits.
Now that 1 Billionaire I talked about is Oprah who is only worth 2.7 Billion dollars and which took her 25 years to make. I’m not saying that to belittle her accomplishments because you can’t. Her example alone has helped me and others see that we can and will be a Billionaire too.
I say it because I need you see that example and open your eyes to the brainwash that we have been given that everyone should be Indians and just work hard for other Chiefs to try and reach the “American Dream”. Instead of doing for self taking it.
Answer me this. With all our Indians why don’t we own a Fried Chicken Franchise, a Rims / Auto Body Franchise, or a Liquor Franchise? Etc…

@DC- I agree, our consumption vs accumulation is tragic. It upsets me every time I think about it. That is why we’re viewed so negatively. We have a weak economic power as a collective. Not enough ownership, manufacturing, and spending in our own community. What’s worst is that we’ve been systematically programmed to behave in a self-defeating manner. My boi was saying the other day that he wondered why all these celebrities, athletes, and millionaires are not working together to help educate and build us up economically. - In the end I want every cat to truthfully decide if that’s where they will naturally settle or if someone gave them shit pie. You make a better decision on a full stomach and in the case of Money you make better decisions when you have a lot of it. A poor man does what he can while a rich man does what he wants. So the goal is to get everyone rich so they can decide if they want to be a cashier.
- We are all capable just like I said in my Biology or Biologist example. Making money isn’t some jumping ability. The only wild card is people getting over their fears and that can be coached out of you just like the same day you jumped off the diving board.
- Bruh I’m not in this for the money otherwise I would’ve been campaigning and setting up MLM seminars off my Alibaba angle. I speak this way all of the time to my folks who roll with me. I just put it on the internet. I’m a quiet kat so me speaking to an audience is counterculture. But, I do it so cats who can relate can grow.
- Until we all get money we don’t know if money can buy happiness. I tell you one thing it makes me happy. Growing up with little to nothing money makes me happy everytime I flip it. - I have Powernomics in my Recommended books and I put up a video of Dr. Anderson on my youtube page. I don’t liken myself to him as he knows a lot more and I’m just trying to get my folks to stand upright and be MEN in this game. People are listening to him as I do and a lot of brothers do. The problem is a new generation has come up and he can’t speak the language. @R&G- I never thought for a second that you would be in this for the money because you’re smart enough to know there are better and faster ways to attain your financial success. I believe you do this because you care about our plight. You got fed up with the status quo and you decided to do something about it. I admire that brother. But you also realize as a business mind that your time is money so therefore you have to find a way to reimburse yourself for financial losses due to focusing on helping the people. I see nothing wrong with that. It’s smart thinking. I even understand why you dumb down and throw shots in order to pander to the disenfranchised. I ain’t mad at cha. The only proper communication is effective communication. (Truthfully I wanted to rhyme like Common Sense, but I just did 5mil. I aint been rhymin like Common Sense..-JAy Z) Besides we both came from the streets. So it’s a part of our DNA.
- Also I’m not pushing the angle that money won’t bring happiness to demotivate bruhs. Im sayin when they arrive don’t expect it to solve all issues. - As far as the Jesus dispute, I’ve research that info as well. Sun god’s, Greek mythology, paganism, etc.. They’re alot of flaws and misinformation in those claims. The real truth is no one knows what’s waiting that’s where faith comes in. But I will defend my beliefs based on my personal experiences and the path that God laid out for me. So whether your agnostic, a muslim, a buddhist, a wiccan, etc.. I’m not going assault anyone’s belief but I will defend mine. And it’s not the negative depiction of the white Jesus that I believe in. Again, the book does not support the paintings. And white doesn’t equate to devil or evil to me. I have friends of all races and alot of them don’t have sh#t. It’s not them that are controlling everything, hell they’re getting crapped on too. The issue is the wealthy vs the poor. Not rich but wealthy.
- There are books that are detailed about startups and getting from a to z. You just have to look for them. Any rookie looking to become an eutrepreneur and buy books on real estate, passive income, become a millionaire in 12weeks, MLM, stock portfolios, etc.., Needs his a$$ whooped. Or will soon realize that he’s putting the cart before the horse. Truthfully the web provides just about everything you need to start any business of interest. It just takes more time and research to find what your looking for. Research is something I never stop doing. That’s how I landed on your blog. At the end of the day we’re all students. Never stop learning.
- One of the reasons why I decided to not return to corporate america is because I want to be me and do things my way. If you don’t conform in that world you want rise to quickly. I don’t knock those that do dress and act a certain way to be liked and accepted but I was just over it. I like fast cars, bad chicks, clubbin, and motorcycles. Sitting in offices, lunch meetings, drinking wine and eating cheese on golf outings with pseudo aristocrats was making me miserable. I think Fight Club f’ed me up.Lol! I erupted. Man that pink slip was like being emancipated from a plantation during slavery. Wait a minute? Nevermind. Lol! Although, being my own man was liberating, I was a hell of a price I had to pay to get to where I am. I remember going from the top to hitting rock bottom 5 months later. I was living in hotels, eating $1 menu meals from a $4 a day budget. It was humbling. But I never stop believing in myself so I kept pushing forward. Now I’m living better than I was before. Perseverance my brothers.
Bruh as you know in this life no one reaches for the hopeless because it’s too much work. Me, I come from it so it’s not a reach at all and I understand all the reasons why kats will stop and get caught up again. So my goal is to debunk all the obstacles they have in reality and in their mind. So to attack the status quo is easy as it’s not reality it’s all fiction. It gives kats ammo to know what they see these fake mawfvckers with ain’t real. It lets them know that they are on the right track to owning theirselves and their empire. So it might seem like a angle but it’s the truth and those of us who made it up and out know these homothugs ain’t real.
White doesn’t equate to devil or evil to me but in the case of Black folks this is our enslaver. If a Jew said he thought Germans were devils would you correct them? Why is that we feel the burden to act like the people responsible for our demise should be somehow forgiven. If you got bit by a dog you would be nervous near dogs forever. So to me it’s natural to point out a group that harmed us. It’s not HATE at all it’s REALITY. It’s no different from GANG related issues as the other side killed your friend… so would you trust them NO! SO again it’s Natural and trying to cover it up and act like all is forgiven is INSANE. I don’t have any issues with white folks at all but I know what they did to my folks. So it is what it is but I’m not acting like that shit was a fairytale. Sometimes we get mixed up with thinking white folks are causing the problem The truth is white folks caused the problem and now benefit from the solution. It’s a stain on who they think they are. Can’t tell the world you are good people when you tortured another race of people, eradicated Native Americans, imprisoned Japanese and had to pass laws against yourself to try to make things fair. You might feel guilty for pointing their flaws out but I don’t.
I have white friends too from law school who will probably be mayor one day. But, they know where I stand and how I see things. I don’t hate them but they understand why I wouldn’t be so trusting of them. I don’t hide my feelings about my race so other people can feel great about thiers. So I have a different relationship than many other people because everyday things we all have in common but being Black is mine and I own it instead of trying to fit in with other folks. Also, I don’t expect my Mexican homies, Cuban homies, Trini homies or any other group to put down their heritage just to fit in around me. We are all different tribes to be respected as such.
The internet provides a lot but just like anything that has one million answers the struggle is finding the right one. So I feel you on saying that all they have to do is look but you have a trained eye to look. I try to find hustles because I have a trained eye to see opportunity in everyday things. So I could say just GOOGLE start up business but I know the kats looking don’t know what to look at when the search results come back. So I try not to say go look.. I try to say look at this.
We all go through ups and downs in doing for self but it’s our ride. No one is making us go through those ups and downs like a uncontrollable rollercoaster. So many of these Slaves believe their life is about keeping some asshole happy ahead of them. They never get around to making theirselves happy. I just want them to realize if everyone walked out on the job and if they organized that strike the devil would die on that day. Most of us have been enslaved so long we don’t know we run the plantation.
I can agree with most of that. And I can respect what I don’t see eye to eye with you on. Ultimately, we both want to see our people become contenders worlds economic field. And that’s what it’s all about. Salute.

@Derek – Like you said we want the same goal in the end. There’s more than one way to accomplish that goal so I welcome all building conversations. I’m sure we’ll both be successful with our respective angles to this world.
@Jay – Sure bruh! Our people suffer from lack of information not from willful ignorance. We see examples of it everyday. Before DeathRow or BadBoy records no one really had their own record label now everyone does. Once the game is revealed to the masses we move on it like a tsunami wave. So the mission is to inform and you’ll see the difference in our lifetime.

There was a time I thought the key to success was making loads of money in the corporate arena. You know how grandma used to say “you got yourself one of them good jobs”. Yeah mom, I got a good job and before too long I realized that good job was just a load of BS. A bunch of slaves walking around, myself included. People using tired ass expressions like: “I do what I gotta do” LOL!!!People walking around lying to themselves about how stable they are. People sitting where someone else told them to sit, doing what someone else told them to do and the worst part is they people pretending to like it knowing damn well they’d rather be on a beach somewhere, or in Paris, or in Switzerland or in Brazil, instead they’re at the job toiling like crazy so the CEO and the shareholders can be on the beaches LOL. It’s insanity!
I’m so glad I woke up out of that funny style mindset. It’s a dream crusher to realize you brought into some nonsense, but that’s okay, you can always buy your own freedom. That’s what I’m doing, buying my freedom. Follow no man. Don’t ask to be put on. No waiting around for a hook up. No being humble and quiet and accepting scraps. If you’re a religious person than you know GOD created you to rule over the animals and the plants, not to be ruled over by corny corporate liars selling you a dream just to squeeze 100% of the work of you and only pay you for 20% of your sweat. If you believe in GOD you must accept that the creator gave you everything you need to provide for yourself. How do I know this? I know this because back when man was created there was no Walmart to work at. You had to be your own Walmart.
So the only point I take exception to is the suggestion some people are put here to work under someone else. I don’t accept that. No we can’t all jump as high as MJ or sing as effortlessly as MJ, but we all can open a convenience store or a dollar store or a car wash or a barber shop and put ourselves on and take care of our families without lying to ourselves and pretending we don’t like Richard Pryor, NAS and those old Jet Beauty centerfolds. We can all be free to be who we are and still make more money than we ever imagined. It’s doable and it’s not an opportunity reserved just for certain types of people. The ish is called survival and self preservation and we’re all capable of it.
Thank you both for your insights. Freeman, I like the harsh tone you use. I think it’s necessary. If you said the truth all nice like it would be easier to justify our lack of action. You either get offended and bounce or you get heated and go make stuff happen. I choose the latter.

@TW – We are all indoctrinated into this bullshit. In fact when someone speaks otherwise it’s like these slaves goal in life to show you how working for the Master is better than you doing for self. We have to go against the grain in this game as most of the Suckers are happily going into debt for half a million renting their whole existence. Freedom is when you owe no one and you created a mechanism that will keep you free. That mechanism doesn’t have to be that damn big as 4K a month with no debt is more than enough money even in Big Bad Los Angeles. So if freedom is 4K a month and a paid off house why wouldn’t everyone go for it?
