Adjustments – Podcast

Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes

Adjustment is defined as the process of modifying one’s behavior in changed circumstances or an altered environment in order to fulfill psychological, physiological, and social needs. A second definition is a functional and often transitory alteration by which an organism adapts to its immediate environment.

In business and money most people fail to make the necessary adjustments. The Suckers make it after they see someone else do it and the Hustlers make the adjustments based off the environmental needs of their Customers.  The ability to adjust has to be cultivated in every person who wants to be successful in business. Most people have gone through life making minimal adjustments and that’s why their life doesn’t change. The successful people thrive in making adjustments and that’s why their life is always unique and prosperous.

Laser beam sharp man, quick anecdote speaking of the heatwave. At Miami beach yesterday the water hustle was in full effect . I copped a bottle water for 2 $ the kat said 3$ at first ( tourist price ) It was so dam hot out there I could see people going for a 3 dollar bottle water easily just on the strength of the circumstances. Must have made a killin’ – I’m seriously debating heading out there today and taking over – peace !

If anyone can sell $1 for $3 then you know there’s money in the streets! Mix that in with the tourist angle and people should have stripper money all of this week.

You should sell a cup of shaved ice out there for 50cents if you can keep it cold! Damn, 3 bucks a bottle is a come up for sure.

Exactly! To be aware of your surroundings and then make the correct adjustments insure success in all facets of life.

In business it can be the difference between blowing up or going out of business.

You have to adjust to the environment. My friends brother moved out to LA from DC and found out you can’t just wear certain colors. If you don’t make adjustments you’ll eventually fall. I think RIMM is about to fall with the Blackberry because of this.

With the water thing. I have powerade, vitamin water, kool aid jammers(for the kids), pop, and of course water. Is that adjusting to the game?

I really don’t see people selling anything other than water. So I added a few other drinks to sell.

@G – LA is a place that if you don’t figure the game out it’ll kill you. People who are not from here think GANGS are like those other cities where it’s a few knuckleheads.. until they run into a problem at Taco Bell Drive thru that’ll make them want to go home.

Got to adjust out here with Gangs as they’re everywhere not just in some corner of the city like other places.

Blackberry should’ve stuck to business people as I don’t like all that touch screen shit either. If they would’ve kept it upper class to the game they would still have a loyal following. Some people need a business phone while everyone else wants to check HULU for Flintstones episodes. There’s a big difference and they should’ve emphasized that difference.

@Boss – Yeah, you updated and parlayed the game. You have a variety of products that make the Water Hustle look lame.

Remember people want to be rewarded when they give you their money. A Ice Cold water works but a Ice Cold Soda will probably be their first choice.

man Freeman I killed the water game today – all went smooth save for this 1 kat who told me I was knockin’ his partnas hustle smh you got a whole beach to grind at and cats want to hold down certain spots. I did lock down the whole beach tho LOL, presentation ! SALUTE

Cat’s are going to approach you and see if they can scare you but overall like you said it’s a whole beach.

Whenever there is a gold rush some cats get mad that others start showing up. But, you got to keep mining for yours and then skate when it’s all said and done.

Quick simple money always makes that Hustling Spirit show up. Glad you took advantage of it. Also, glad you saw it this morning, did something and then came up by the afternoon.

This reminds me of the saying “There is more than one way to skin a cat” I have made adjustments to my business I was dead set against. But at the end of the day it is about the chips and I want them!

If you’re making money then the customer will dictate a lot about you. There are adjustments I had to make that I hated too. But, in the end it’s my ego and my own personal comfort that I’m mad about losing instead of making more money. So we have to make all adjustments.

    What’s Up Freeman,

Thank you for all that u do. As I listened to this podcast, I needed clarification. Is this in reference to hustling, establishing immediate cash or is this in reference to establishing a business? Recently, I read this book, The ’22 Immutable Laws of Marketing’ chapter 5 The Law of Focus. If you have read it please let me know if this applies. I would like to hear from your perspective. I would like to hear it from a black perspective.

It applies to life in general that you are always ahead of the game and ready to react and implement them in an instant.

I haven’t read the 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing but I’ll get it and read it by the end of the month. Then I’ll be able to respond to the question.
