Fright Complex – Podcast
Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes
There’s something in us all that scares the shit out of us. Most people never admit it to anyone let alone admit it to theirselves. I myself have plenty of things that I fear and hopefully none of them ever come up. But, when it comes to me moving forward in life I try to take them head on. Because who wants to be a coward when their life is literally on the line. Who wants to be a coward when just overcoming this fear will let them have the life they always dreamed of?
Well there’s a lot of cowards in this world because no matter how much they see the way to have it all they never take it on!

So critical that not only do gets get an understanding of the techniques & strategy, by also the Mentalities of the Game. And keeping that inner punk in check is most def one of em (until you be-head that muh fugga permanently that is, lol)
Oh and *warning*warning*warning* like you said …the suckas gonna hate cuz dey still getting chumped by THEIR inner punk. & seeing you rid of yours breeds contempt.
Good shyt Freeman
Fear is so ingrained into our society that people are afraid to do for self. Fear is control and if everybody was up on game then it would be a problem. They never teach that in school. I’ve learned so much by reading outside of school than all the time I spent in high school and college. This lady I know just paid off a loan and is going right back in debt to get another one. I just smh.
@Preme – Your Welcome! I know I can help cats with the steps but I can’t help cats conquer their own inner demons. Most people don’t realize it’s a one step at a time way instead of a conquer the mountain way to not being so damn scared to do something.
The Suckers hate what they can never be. I realized that a long time ago that any Man worried about mines must be secretly scared that he didn’t do it and probably will not do it. If he was up on his own angle he wouldn’t be paying attention to mine so much.
A Coward will never be King but, a King most likely conquered his cowardice. It’s in us all but some of us decide to do something about it.
@G – In school you are taught to respect authority for no damn reason. So you are taught at a early age to respect people title’s even if you know they don’t know WTF they are talking about. Since you have been taught this shit for 12 to 16 years, from a kid to a Man; it’s hard for a person with a CHILD’s mentality to do what a MAN has to do.
The Loan Lady thinks being able to borrow money means she is trustworthy. She gets a high out of being able to use other people’s money. The devil has taught her this way of thinking so like you I SMH when I see people re-up with the devil.
Freeman that was a good one.
That water hustle thing I’m doing. But I was wondering if it would work good at a city bus transfer station where there are a lot of people, because that’s where i was thinking of setting up shop. The thing is I have competition there with a hot dog guy selling of course hot dogs and drinks.
With the water hustle you want to be close to where they walk up. So if they walk up from the street you want to be at the turn before they are about to get to the bus stop. You don’t want to be next to that hot dog cat but don’t worry he costs 4 to 5 bucks and you cost 1 buck!
Just respect his space and you won’t have any worries. After all there are a lot of people there and he doesn’t sell to everyone!
Just remember at a bus transfer station the people get off somewhere and walk to another place. You want to be in the middle of them getting off and getting on the next spot. When they’re walking they’ll realize they need a water.
Age, irrational fear and being complacent, when i was young i could make something and it did’t have to be perfect. Now if it isn’t perfect i worry people won’t buy it and believe the bs that blacks make inferior product. However my money is starting to get real tight and i need to move product, i do high quality work but it never seems “good enough”, i see mistakes that aren’t even there. Once again irrational fear, so we then become complacent and the older we get the worse it is. I dont think I would be this bad if I had not stayed at my last job for 9.5 yrs, i was a lot braver before it!
When I wrote Dollar15 I just put it out because if I didn’t get it out I would’ve been still looking at it trying to take out chapters. I almost took out the chapter on BONDS which everyone seems to like. So perfection becomes a problem/fear as you get older because you think the product reflects you but it’s just a book.
Well nothing conquers fear faster than poverty and hunger! When it starts getting down to do or die a lot of us finally get up and do. So take the money getting tight as a sign that you can see what inaction will lead to and react! Or get a part time job like me to keep basic necessities covered while you develop your Hustle!
Necessity is the mother of all inventions and I am just gonna go for it. Job is an option if I get real bad, i am in school and unemployed so getting a job would mess up what little funding I get. I just need to get past thinking what i do is not good enough, i do much better work then some third-world sweatshop so whats the issue.
Like you, one can’t help but to wonder if the product you push will be bought and well received. I think it’s all part of the game and I’m just trying to get used to it.
In the end my solution is to push myself to the finish line because if I let up I might not ever complete the project. Got to execute without worrying about the outcome. The end will take care of itself as either they’ll buy or won’t buy. You have a 50/50 chance on just about everything in life.
Freeman, I just sent you a review for your book. This is one of my imperfections I need to fix. My main problem is people in my ear telling me what I should do. No one around me, mainly family, ever wants to take risk. I came to the conclusion I MUST be afraid of making real money or have big responsibility like a business. Cuz I a million ideas and inventions all sitting my my brain collecting dust. But I’m up against a wall right now, no job, no $, no leads. It’s time to put up or shut up. Keep it coming bro.
Dreams and plans without action are worthless.
@Clay – Bruh you aren’t afraid it just looks like to me you got too many Scary Suckers spitting in your ear. You’re in one of those positions where you need to be quiet about your plans and then execute. Let them tell you after you already got it rolling down hill.
When I started my company my brother told me I was running from responsibility, my other brother said I don’t know what the hell I am doing, my sister said I was making a mistake and my mother told me she couldn’t see it. But, I went anyway and their fears didn’t stop me from gaining my independence.
Your mission is to find the one business idea you have that costs the least amount of money to bring into being. Once you win with that one you take the next one in line and bring that into being. Organize all of your ideas in the order of ease to bring into being and start executing. Some won’t work at all, some will work a little bit and some will blow up. But none will do anything if you never try any of them.
@MCD85 – Fear when it comes to money is a gripping fear of failure. I can’t make a cat sock the bully in the face as he’ll have to do that by himself.
yeah mane lol another one!
But I understand how you feel when you keep lacing someone with game and wondering will the ever go through with the knowledge.
He I like how you expanded on selling points to think on your feet. Where can we learn more about those up selling techniques that you stated, or could you throw a senario out there for us. …..Or is this one of the instances where you have to remain creative and quick?
Now I’m not mad at cats for taking the information and not acting on it. Truth be told everyone gets to this game in their own way so I can’t force anyone to do anything. I put out different topics randomly so whatever comes up comes up. Maybe I should pushed this one back to December huh?
This podcast was making a cat question theirselves and really wonder what is it that’s stopping them. After the information, and you see an example what are you waiting for? So this podcast was to force a cat to think about their own fears in this game.
The upsale techniques can be explained and I will put out something on it this week for sure! It’s just thinking on your toes and being able to set up a combo deal. Got to answer the customers questions and drill yourself to answer them.
Damn DF this was too real. I have started my first few and done alright but ran into obstacles that make them obviously unpractical but I got to just keep swinging till I hit the big one. Plus can’t be scared to take it to the next level with one even in school.
I’m starting to realize now my hesitation to apply knowledge is from 22 years of brain washing by the school and my family. It’s natural to do for self I remember when I was like 13 before even knowing about this stuff just thinking “I need more money” and hustling like nothing. Going out selling candy at school and cutting hair. I didn’t even worry about selling or anything I just went head in no second thoughts. I just remember after awhile getting shut down by the school over and over them taking my candy telling me not to sell on campus. My fam telling me not to sell stuff and get a job then getting older and learning about business and hearing them tell me I’m wasting time and friends too. I guess I never really got those thoughts out the back of my mind because even when I see simple plans I tend to think of the risks before the rewards. Time to deprogram this slave mentality.
Money is a process and we just need to keep trying. That’s why I said I don’t worry about failing because the product is good and I just have to figure the game out. So you figured the game out and decided it wasn’t set up to make money so you left it alone. I have done that plenty of times but you have to go through it to figure it out.
Most people are cowards to these chips! Once you realize that you stop listening to them altogether. Now if they are talking about your product from a customer point of view I might listen. But, if they are trying to put their fears on me then I got to tune them out.
The systems is set up to create workers. They wait for the Kings to wake up and get out of the cafeteria line. So don’t get mad that the system brainwashed you, be glad that you woke up. You have to learn to make the shit in the past the shit in the past. The times you felt nervous and didn’t have enough belief in yourself is over. Now it’s time to stick to your plan and be patient. Money will come to those who are patient enough to go through whatever comes up in order to get it.
You just have to face the fear and run with it. I’m glad you talked about boldness too. I had to let a friend go cause he just kept talking fear about moving forward. I’m sorry..it’s only so many what ifs, shoulds, and gonnas a cat can handle. Too many folks are just scared of living life.
Bold is just being scared but pushing yourself anyway. I think that’s the answer to a lot of cats in this game where their fears have froze them. I have to push myself all of the time in order to take my shots.
Like always you can’t talk chips with everyone as most people are trying to live off of what they have left… and you are trying to live!
I just stopped by to say you just put out another classic.
Now back to my regulary scheduled program.
“EMPIRE PART 1: MAKING AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE”
Thanks for falling through homie.
Making money is the lifestyle! As long as we stay on the chip chase our lives will be the enjoyment of the byproduct of our hustle!
Yeah i had fears of dying because you don’t know what awaits you. I also had fears of starting a business & then someone comes and takes it all from me but like Jesus say’s “Why so little faith” and they say fear is a trait of the devil & i’m just getting tired of thinking about losing period so my mentality right is that i was born to live and born to win so forget about doubt.
Stripper Fetish <— man you are too funny. I love your podcasts b/c you tend to bring a little humor in it.
I think what scares us is the embarrassment factor. We have too much pride (sometimes stupid pride) It also takes us out of our comfort zone. So we make up excuses. I strongly believe that you have to be born with a business acumen.
I remember when I was little seeing a gumball machine and thinking how much money will be in there once the gum runs out lol
I convinced my dad to buy me a gumball machine. I made money from my house. Everytime my mom would have company over, I would pull out the machine. Made $$
I was always thinking about how to make money for as long as I can remember.
My motto is "If it scares you, go do it" you will learn alot more from that as oppose to going the safe and less risky route!
@J123 – It’s natural to think of failure but that’s why you enjoy the win. Everything you value came from some kind of doubt. So if the reward for doubt is a big win why not. If the reward for doubt through inaction is nothing why would we choose that?
Bruh no one really steals anything from a cat who is always thinking about money. If it is still a lot of money you’ll come back to it again as a thief never had the idea he just took the hustle. In the end bruh the hustle needs your insight, knack and twist to parlay it to more. Most cats are just selling water but you see I think about towels, gatorade and personal misters. All a thief can do is copy the game but he’ll never innovate it. So reup and go at it again!
@LMarie – Well I don’t believe we have to be born with it. Like I used in a old podcast everyone can learn Biology but only a few will become biologist. So making money is simple buy low sell high and anyone can do that.
I think some of us get a thrill off of thinking about it and then executing it. I know that’s what I feel when I figure the game out on just about anything. So of course I will be more advanced than someone who only thinks about it when their pockets get low.
Everyone is scared of being embarrassed as it takes mighty discipline to know what you are doing leads to something greater when the masses will laugh and ridicule you. I myself have taken jobs below my education level, lived places other would say I could do better and even eaten food that others would say is ghetto. But, since I am happy with myself overall and I’m on my mission I don’t care. People just have to believe that what they will bring into being is worth sacrificing for and they’ll stop worrying about what the lost followers believe. Why would any person with any kind of knack worry about those who don’t do anything but hope they don’t get fired.
Also, thank you for the compliment on the podcast. I just talk into the microphone and what comes out is what comes out.
