Nothing in Common

Reading time: 3 – 5 minutes

A lot of people allow their emotions to turn them off or turn them on when it comes to learning. So if you are a Democrat you don’t want to hear a Republican. If you are Jewish you might not want to hear from the Germans. If you are Black you don’t care to hear what whites think. All of this is a mistake! Now I don’t mean you have to follow them and join the 3rd reich but I do mean knowledge is knowledge and whomever is spreading it is worth a second or two. So many people choose a side when there isn’t a side. So many people tell you what they are about when they have no idea what life is about.

The goal of money is to learn how to make it. That means the messenger is not as important as the message. So when I search for understanding I might come across a lot of books that most cats won’t read. I don’t think of the knowledge as me learning at the knee of a devil but instead I think 2+2=4 and now I can do that too. When I am out on the street and I hear some cats on their soapbox while others may walk by I’ll stop and listen to their 5 minute pitch. A solution only comes from knowing what failed and why it failed. But, a new solution comes to me through reading cats with a different kind of mind and then applying their knowledge in my format. Sure if I met these cats I would beat the brakes off of them but since they wrote a book, made a lecture, wrote a essay or made a youtube video I’ll absorb.

When I was growing up I listened to everyone as I was taught to think any person who stops to tell you something most likely is trying to better you. Now that might be a warning against something or a knock on the door to bring you to something but overall their heart is in the right place even if their brain is not. As a result I have a general understanding of a lot of things, cultures, angles and devils. Since I know them and know of them and their teachings I understand the angle of their pitch and what they really want to say. Since I am a grown man their information doesn’t make me who they are but it does add a missing puzzle piece to my game. When you are on the hunt for the empire you have to understand the big picture.

Think about it for a second. A man who knows everything about engineering is a great engineer. But, a engineer who knows a lot about life is not only a engineer he is salesman, a stand up guy, a owner and a thinker. Most people in this life have been taught to not entertain the thoughts and ideas of other people. So they remain one thing as you are what you eat. But, the person who is curious about a lot of things improves his angle in ways he could not have forseen. Being curious doesn’t mean you don’t throw away garbage right away… it only means that you have identified that as garbage before.  The puzzle to build your empire is not a just following directions it’s interpretation of life and others people’s angles.

The rule that you only learn from those who you agree with is a con. It’s like when someone votes all Democrats on a ballot as they don’t care about the issues as much as they are blind. You can’t afford to be trapped in one way of thinking and one way of seeing the world. People might have to have something in common with you for you to be friends but their knowledge doesn’t have to follow those rules to break bread. Don’t mix the two!

So So So very true. I get Game from so many sources. I can do this because I spend close to 0% of time consumed with things that are unrelated to My Hu$tle or Understanding of The Game.

So, for example, when I listen to independent Media in Europe its not cause I’ll ever live there, its cause I want to get ahead of everyone else to see what type of bulshiggy they will try over here.

When them katz at UC Berkley started protesting tuition increases…I said they did that sh!t in europe over 2yrs ago. When katz who work in the public sector over here look sh!t faced cause their pay increase gets frozen or they are required to increase contributions to their pensions+ retirement age gets raised…I will say they did those austerity in europe first. But I guess watching Kim Kardasian, basketball wives, or the voice was more important huh?

A personal example is My brother who is on disability and gets SSI. From peeping Game overseas years back I KNOW there will be some f*ckery with his checks/benefits in the years to come. But like you said prophetically (i’ll ad-lib)….

“We need to stay focused on the things(money) that solve ALL things not the stuff that solves one thing!’

“If the price of gas, health care, cost of living…etc goes up, what the f*ck do I care? I just need to make more money”

I feel you. I been reading more about Europe and China. I figure if its a global economy, I shouldn’t just be concerned with only my country. If I can break bread…I want to eat everywhere.

@Supreme – Other people handle things differently and my job is to have multiple ways out of problems. Those problems could be years down the line and some could be on the table right now. But, only through reading and paying attention to those different cultures or different angles will you be able to be effective when others are not. When I think of a business to start I can pull from the times I lived in NY, Baltimore, Philly, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, LA and Seattle. I paid attention to the way they were handling things when I was there and when I am in a new town I can call on that when I see it will work there.

All things is Money but until we build that buffer we need to be adaptable to the situation at hand. Most of the time the way you learn adaptability is through what you learned from others. No matter how foul the smell or taint of the person speaking the message could be pure. It’s worth stopping 5 minutes to absorb.

@AH – I’ve been lucky to work with many cultures and as such I learned their angles and points of view. The hunger for more is universal so learning how the richest woman in China made her money is great information. If you can learn about Carlos Slim in Mexico that would be great game. We shouldn’t limit our wanting of knowledge to those who the Suckers agree with but we should remove the foul parts and just absorb. It’s like eating cheese no one will want that shit in it’s raw form but after some refinement its perfectly good on a hamburger.

For many years i have always been reading, learning and watching everything around me. To say that most people are not one-sided is like saying that the color of money is not green but yellow. I think we are as a people conditioned to take sides against each other (divide and conquer) rather than seeing the whole picture good and bad and taking from it what you need. I get alot of flak because i tend not to choose sides but pull back and look at the big picture and take my time to decipher the information and from there i can use it when i like.

I think many people close their eyes and ears to information that comes from sources they don’t necessarily agree with, even when there is something of value to be gained from it. The truth is, inspiration can come from anywhere if you open your mind and consider the message you’re receiving. I’ve personally picked up some good game from sources I wouldn’t be bothered with in real life. Knowledge is truth no matter the source.

The truth can not be denied. No matter how much some one tries to dirty it up or hide it. I pay attention to things around me to see what I can use or borrow for my own benefit. alot of people call me greedy and selfish for it. But Im for the empire. my empire. see you at the top when i get there!!!

This post made a great point and it’s something I’m working on like hell. It’s largely a matter of remembering that you don’t know everything and ALWAYS being open minded to receiving some new info. I’m not religious so I always rejected it when my mother said read the Bible….but now I’m reading the Bible and the Qu’ran and I’ve been getting some real good game from both.

Only catch to me is mass media. I usually avoid most of the major newscasts, newspapers, magazines, etc. because I know that shit is lies, programming, and propaganda. I don’t wanna be suckered like the sheep…what yall think about that aspect?

@G71 – LOL you had me laughing when you signed your own quote – Freeman

But, I agree with you as the more diversity you have of knowledge the better you are overall. We are taught to takes sides without truthfully thinking that you might not be all conservative or all liberal, all spiritual or all rational. I have a side but it’s not based off of wanting to agree but I don’t force anyone to live my style or way but I hold myself to it. When it comes to information I thank GOD for books and the internet because I don’t need to know or see the face of the cat who wrote it as long as I find it and build with it.

Most of the time the stuff that turns people off is opinion and not facts.

@HHM – Whatever makes someone better I’m all for it. So if you believe a ghost gives you power and you accomplish something I am not standing in your way. In fact I want to read the book on Casper so I can get that glow too. Sometimes where we come from and how we grow up affect our personal growth especially in the attainment of knowledge. I got out of my own way by traveling and picking up game as I go. But, if I didn’t I would’ve been a local cat believing in people who are not important. The knowledge is the key to everything.

@Anubis – You got that 6th sense of paying attention to your surroundings. You have to take that and think about applying it to knowledge. No one is saying you have to keep up with the bullshit that’s going on but we need to be diverse in the books we read. Right now I’m STILL reading a biography on Mahatma Ghandi and that shit is like 1500 pages but to learn his journey could be beneficial to me. But yet and still I am reading it to gain knowledge not to admire and hero worship.

If you would stop talking about the money to those who don’t understand it they wouldn’t say anything to you. You and slaughtering cats with knowledge will breed a lot of enemies.Build brother and they’ll come and give you money and that’s enough adulation for a lifetime.

@DCM – The news is only from one point of view. Think of it this way to a lot of Black folks Malcolm, Garvey, Elijah Muhammad and Farrakhan are all heroes. But, to the masses they are Black Nationalist that want to destroy white folks. Because we don’t have our own media outlets the masses believe they are evil too. There is a saying of the Victors write the history but our problem is if we can’t get out our point of view the media moguls perpetuate lies. I use the news to see what’s going on in the world but i don’t care for the reasoning as it’s a opinion.

I was against religion the majority of my life too but that’s because people were forcing it on me. Once I started to learn things for myself I opened up to the truth in all religions not just one. The majority of religious books are full of stories and lessons and that’s what makes them powerful. What makes the conflict is one group saying what they believe in is the truth. Just like this post when you believe one side is more or better than the other you lose access to knowledge that will make you see a bigger picture.

I read alot of books. One of the last books I read was 48 laws. Right now I am concentrated on reading my school books. Most of my classes are about money ie: accounting, finance, business, econmics: so I cant complain right now. Its just that all of my thoughts are about money. I dont really have much else to talk or think about. I dont mean to slaughter people but if they ask me I will tell them money is the only thing that matters. I dont go out my way to tell people this. I might just start telling them not right now. Maybe Im evil and dont know it. people used to call me young vader and I didnt know why maybe this is the reason. I can be cold sometimes but I want to help people…..

Its just that they wonder why Im studying and dont go to the club anymore. Or why Im not talking to a bunch of females anymore. Or why I wont go to church or the mosque. Or why you dont want to watch football or play games. Im like those these wont make me wealthy. I need to study or check out some places to set up shop. Im trying to conquer the world like pinky and the brain. Im just lost in my own thoughts. I am consumed by them. I had almost everything taken from me and I want it back. I want more.

I’ll keep my thoughts to myself unless Im on a financial blog talking about chips and ways to get more money

I can understand as once I started on the road I bought about 500 bucks of books all on money. I disappeared for about a year walking around thinking about things. I had books in my car, at the gym and for a while there I didn’t talk about anything else. I even only listened to rap music that talked about money. It’s not evil to be focused but it can turn into evil if you don’t mind your p’s and q’s by not ruffling any feathers. I am sure you’ll get everything you wanted in life back and more so don’t worry about overshooting it as long as you think about trying to find the middle ground. That perfect fit between being social and being about your money.

You have a reason now. I have people around me who wonder what I do but I am making decisions that will set me up for the long haul. I can’t be the cat telling you guys to build and me slack at the same time. I’m trying to get my passive money up to 20K a month on some simple shit. You got to extend yourself in new and riskier ways to get this money and since most people stay in the pocket they don’t get it.

On the R&G it’s all wide open no matter how cocky, crazy or shocking. Just take my word for it that you will breed enemies who only want to see what you build so they can later shit on it. I tell you to be quiet because of what I learned about the nature of people. In my 20′s I plain didn’t give a fvck and was turn and burn on a lot of cats. I wish I would’ve thought a little bit bigger and just kept the peace. But, when you’re young you don’t see how one little thing can come back to haunt you. Not the people either just you looking back and thinking you could’ve handled that better.

@Prince – Most people debate for the sake of talking. It’s rare to meet people who actually think things through.
