Small Business Saturday – Exposed

Reading time: 3 – 5 minutes

If you have been watching television you’ll see some commercials popping up telling you to support small businesses this Saturday the 26th. Now on the surface this looks like a great idea and it really is as that dollar means a lot more to that small restaurant than it does to McDonald’s. But, it wouldn’t be the R&G if I didn’t see the con sitting right behind it. Capitalism 101 lets you know nothing in this game comes for free and people with money just aren’t doing shit because they want you to be better.

American Express is the main corporation behind this propaganda. AE hopefully will benefit from the Suckers and the Customers using their AE card for the majority of the swipes. You’re sitting there saying….. So Freeman damn can’t anyone do something right in your book?  People can do something right but usually the big companies don’t give a shit to support those small businesses. Truth of the matter I am surprised Visa and MasterCard aren’t all backing this propaganda too. I mean if you swipe your card at a small business they get their percentage and hopefully your tricking ass forgets to pay it in full so they can make more money. When AE says they help small businesses they are really doing another business transaction of loaning money to get interest on top of that.

What did I tell you in the podcasts the reason why people don’t help the ghetto is because there ain’t no money in it. Now I’m not sure who was the hippie who started the movement but after doing some research it’s American Express behind this. So they made a fake movement just for the chance to make you spend money thinking it’s for a good reason and really they are banking you’ll swipe their cards. Since the small business owners are happy anyone is telling them to buy a danish from them they go to the website Small Business Saturday and they get all this free shit to put on their windows and facebook pages. But, no one ever really looks at the bottom of the page and see that even this website is owned and operated by American Express.

It’s basically the same propaganda used to make Valentines day and Halloween. The difference is Hallmark and Mars Candy didn’t have the internet to not only start it but try to fully capitalize on it. This is such a devilishly genius angle that in the end most Suckers will probably sign up with American Express saying to their other dumbass friends that American Express supports small business. You got to love this game when the devil takes your money and then makes the suckers go and advertise it to their friends.

Now I’m all for supporting small businesses as anyone who has the guts to set up shop gets a lot of respect from me. But, when the devil is backing it and we can see the horns on the devils heads c’mon bruh! What if the million man march was sponsored by Frito Lay? What if Occupy Wall St was sponsored by REI outdoors who make a special protest tents?. What if Christmas was sponsored by Macy’s… well maybe it is already. When you take something good and try to con the public by hiding it in plain sight you have to be able to spot the devil.

See you small business Saturday I’ll be the guy eating fish! I’ll check the window to see if they have a Small Business Saturday American Express sticker on the window giving the devil free advertising while trying to con me to use that fvck ass card!

Ha, as a small bizz owner I CRINGE when a client hands Me an Amex card.

Not only does Amex charge Me TWICE as much as visa/mastercard to process, they take twice as long to get Me My $. Not to mention their chargeback disputes department is a joke.

American can “eat one” far as I’m concerned.

    p.s.

On turkey day, let’s not forget bout our Red Native American brothers and sisters living in open sir concentration camps called “reservations”

@Supreme – No one usually wants that fvck ass card as they have a annual fee. Sometimes people are greedy and AE is one of those companies. I’m sure you receive all their mail asking you to sign up and how they support your business. Those mfers are the devil.

Don’t worry I didn’t and I’ll have something reminding us of that tomorrow.

@G – Glad your spidey senses worked as most cats think this is some kind of earth day movement when it’s really the Outback Steak Bowl.

Thanks for hitting me up to the above. I never knew that. Isn’t this the same company that used to tell us “American Express card, don’t leave home without it.”. Don’t they also make the Black card too? So you saying its just set up to get us to use the card and swipe it millions of times on Saturdays. And since Amex is backing it…they get paid billions cause they get a percentage from all the merchants that accept it. Then as Supreme Ase said..they charge double and pay the merchant slow. And this is a legal hustle? I need to make a credit card too. lol. No wonder folks occupy wall street.

Homie they made up the holiday so you can swipe their card! It’s beyond devilish it’s down right evil. Then they send merchants signs and crap to put on their windows. They also send you stuff to promote that shit on your facebook page. So in essence these devils got you advertising their card to your group of friends and conning everyone like it’s a organic people oriented movement.

Everything is legal if you don’t get caught homie! Right now it’s all legit because most people don’t dig behind the game to see who is really behind it. There isn’t a story of some hippie like earth day this is some straight coca cola polar bear christmas angle hidden in a feel good movement. Genius, devilishly genius!

WOW!! I saw the commercial a few times a couple of days ago and thought here we go someone looking for handouts. I actually was feeling a little sorry for those people on TV and did not know about AE backing them. The Devil is always looking out to exploit everyone for their money. They must pay these marketing people alot of money to come up with this concept. I’m going to have to look more closely next time when i have time to see TV.

Beware of the man bearing gifts.

    Peace

It’s a great scam because the average Sucker doesn’t realize the game. So for free AE advertising by word of mouth on the street and backing a grassroots movement you automatically infer AE is a good card. It’s like child molesters sponsoring daycares as the alliance is devilish from the jump. AE wants small businesses to succeed so the Customer can sign up and the Merchant will prefer them over Visa/MC. It makes me laugh but besides that it’s still genius.
