I know you’re saying “NO It’s NOT!” But, I thought I would give you cats a heads up on getting that side hustle going for the new year. Right now as we speak a lot of the small franchise tax preparers are starting to train their workers for next year. So if you were looking for a side hustle that could put some money in your pocket here it is. For you cats that work a full time gig but have time in the afternoons or on weekend it’s time to get your bid in.
For you seasonal workers who got a Xmas gig and wonder after that’s done what will I do? Well go talk to the cats at Liberty Tax, Jackson Hewitt, H&R Block and just about any of them in your area. They may not be open now but they got to train cats early so they can have their staff in place. Why not learn a bit more about taxes as once you learn the game you might want to open up on yourself.
The small tax preparers make a lot of dough and it’s only pretty much for 4 months of work. This is your time to go into this kind of business and memorize as much as the game as possible. You need to look at the system they use to process the returns. You need to hold on to your books that they train you with so you can use them for your staff someday. You need to get your sales pitch and processing skills downpacked so you can practice for your own business. Truth be told this is the only business I know where they hire you to learn the game for a short period. So anyone with their mind right from Day 1 could really capitalize on it and start their own someday.
A lot of you cats think you need to have a accounting agree or some kind of experience but they train you for this game. All you have to do is find out when they are training cats and get your ass over there. You might have to take off work for a couple of days but it’ll be worth it when tax season rolls around. Remember this opportunity will train you to run your own business so think of it that way instead of just processing returns. If you get to know the owner or the manager they usually are looking for cats who are good workers and most likely they will share the angle with you.

Great post written at the right time. Im currently taking an H&R Block class. It was $250 but the game is well worth it. ive not only learned about taxes but other financial insight on how to build chips and save money. the only sticky party is they try to recruit you to work with them, which isnt bad if you need a quick job to satck your chips. Also they threaten you claiming that you cannot take the class if you plan on working for the “competition”, but all you have to do is play possum and get the class over with. the class im taking is for 3 months on mon/weds 3 hours each class ending in November. its alot of reading but mainly just inserting your clients info into a computer. if you plan on starting your own go to ehow they break the game down as far as how to get consurity bonds and what banks to deal with. Lastly its a great time to get in because the govt has pushed back mandatory testing until 2013. So all you have to do is take the class.
A friend of mine owns a couple of tax places so I know when they start hiring. Also, I know how much money those places bring in. It’s a simple game and I think once you learn how to do any kind of tax return you can start this angle up yourself. The 250 is just part of the game for the training and the books. I think it’s worth it as you never have to come back and do it again. So every January through April it becomes a skill that makes good side money.
I already on this. I did this one year myself. H&R block wanted me to pay 150 to take their class. I would have done it but Im taking a tax classes and spreadsheets in my classes now. Didn’t see a need to pay again to something Im already learning in school. Im going to apply anyway once class is out.
It’s money homie and it’s a easy side hustle. So to me we don’t worry about small things like rules to the game when we just want to get in the game and make our money.
