It’s not about the Money

You always hear this from some artist or athlete when they get put on when they didn’t think they would have a chance again. Whomever is on TV knows if they say DAMN I got 90 million, Hater Nation will rise up and plot on them. What’s funny is most of the time these cats have agents of some sort so they have been negotiating over money behind the scenes. When it comes to business it’s always has been and always will be about the money. Anyone who truly believes they are there because they love it would take the first contract given to them when the owner gave them all the Krispy Kreme donuts they can eat and a new car behind the curtain.
I was at the gym yesterday and next to me was a lady with a trainer saying she doesn’t do anything because of money. The trainer, being the simp he was; told her she would be just fine and money would just make her superficial. Now me, I didn’t say a damn thing because a Sucker can believe what they want. But, I did think if it wasn’t about the damn money then why is she complaining at a gym… probably releasing stress from not having any damn money. The Sucker lady continued to say she graduated from college and couldn’t find a job and was at a Suckass job right now. Then I smiled a bit and they looked at me and I acted like I was happy from lifting weights so I said YES out loud. But, in reality I was laughing at what people say when they aren’t making enough money so they come up with stupid sayings like It’s not about the Money.
What people really love to do is do something they love and make a hell of a lot of money. Otherwise the musician wouldn’t have the damn can or his guitar case on the ground. Otherwise the cat who had some talent wouldn’t enter the damn talentshow. Otherwise the guy who is a computer programmer wouldn’t sell the program they made they would just give it away to better life for everyone. Now I’m not saying there aren’t people who don’t need the money but it’s probably because they already have it. Even the people who do things because they love it don’t want to be a Sucker making the cat taking advantage of them rich.
As long as there’s money that someone can get paid for what they do for free. It will always be about the money! ALWAYS!

If it’s not about the money, tell them to live bummy for the rest of their lives. Live homeless. They couldn’t do it. If someone says “it’s not about the money” today..I’d think you were a lazy crackhead, watching too many cartoons, or avoiding money problems.
@Brad – Everyone likes to find a way to make losing OK. They are losing so they say that crap out of their mouth!
@AH – Money doesn’t matter to the fool who probably can’t get it. Like you said the world is complaining about money even the dummies who make that statement. Somehow in the world the downplaying of what you need somehow makes you Noble or GOOD. When in reality it makes you look like you don’t recognize the reality of life.
With me, its always about the money. I got fam and a future to provide for, I’m not volunteering shit or doing anything not for the money. Why have a job if its not for the money? I can answer that its because you NEED the MONEY to survive (aka. eat, pay bills and not live in squallor). I hate quotes and cliche’s they sound dumb as hell once you really process them. I don’t get the “Its not about the money” or the “I work for GOD” cliches they do more for the person saying it’s psychi than anything else.

This is just like that other dumb ass phrase I hate: “it’s not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game”. What kinda b*ch sh*t is that!!?? If it’s not about winning, then why keep score? In this world we measure winning by who has the most money, plain and simple. As a matter of fact, you actually get punished for losing, as in not having money. I’m just saying, a whole bunch of folks in recent years started losing and didn’t have their money right. And you saw how quick that punishment came, as in those mother*ckers are homeless right now. That’s the way this world really works, not that pie in the sky waiting on the lord, money don’t matter, bullsh*t people be talking.
I think people make up those sayings so that they can feel better about their situation in life. I guess its just a way to disassociate themselves from the truth.
Personally i never understood why people say that phrase. Hell even i caught myself saying that phrase in the beginning but i have wised up as i got older and learned not to say that. IT IS ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY!!! Since a got my degree i started progressing from one job to another because it paid more. My goal was making the green back then and it still is now! Still a 9 to 5 never even comes close to doing for self! Doing for self is my goal now!

@KD – Exactly! It’s just a way to psych their own self out. The more you learn about money the less you play around with it. When you hear other people talking reckless it just makes you question who you are standing in front of. It’s a childish mentality to believe you don’t need the one thing that brings about the majority of the others. I didn’t take a Vow of Poverty so that saying isn’t part of my mentality.
@Boardroom – There are a lot of them floating around. This is why people don’t even try to run a business because they hear a whole bunch of sayings that don’t make sense but stupid Suckers say them.
@Carl – Most people know the way the world works it’s just they don’t want to do the hardwork of facing reality and not complaining. I tell ya the most intelligent people believe the dumbest shit. These phrases are not the phrases of the ignorant but the so called intelligent. Most poor folk already know what money can do so they don’t take it for granted as they are willing to steal, lie and kill for it. It’s only the Suckers who think it’s noble to not value what makes things valuable.
@G71 – I agree with you as it’s like a drink of hard liquor it just distorts reality and people get drunk off of it. Once you really study how money is made and what it can build you realize the making of it needs to be on your mind and urgent when not around like toilet paper.
The beginning and the end is finding a way to do for self. Whenever and However that is accomplished is not as important as actually bringing that business into being!

IMO- “For nothing” really means it comes easy to you. “Its nothing to a boss so to speak” that”s when you”ll gladly do you thing for a monetary gain.
You see this when you hear athletes talk about they play sports for the “love of the game” but then they end up holding out for more money even if it means missing training camp or a few games.
@MD – Everyone says for nothing but few have ever reached the heights of chips to actually mean it. It’s always funny to me cats know so much about what the rich would say but don’t know what they do. It’s being a groupie to money to know so many things and not have any of it for yourself.
@JG – Exactly, everyone loves what they do but they sure as hell hold out when the money ain’t right. This is a saying to entice the Suckers to play the game for less than their value. They do this in just about all the movies where at the end the Sucker to the game ends up the town hero because he turned down that EVIL MONEY! This shit is a joke!
If we lived in a agrarian society, then it be all about the crops.
But Gentz, we live in a Capitalist society, so guess what….It IS all bout the Money.
