Make a Name for Yourself for what? Again, yes I’m here to make sure you see the CON in phrases that are all about getting chose. Next to Stand Out, Be counted and Show up and Show out… Make a Name for yourself is usually said when you are competing for the attention of someone. Someone who most likely has the keys to your future whether that be a audition a admission board or a bunch of cowards at a interview. Anything tied into popularity is usually the slippery slope to being on someone else’s plantation because the nature of money is quiet accumulation.
I know by the end of this R&G thing a lot of you cats are going to be quiet with just about everything. Don’t worry I just analyze a lot of the things people say and wonder what the hell? I know some of you cats in entertainment will say but Freeman does it apply to me and my musical skills or vocal skills? How am I going to get a deal if I don’t start singing out front of the record companies or sending them my demo? I hope by you reading just those two sentences of course you are included and damn it don’t bring up personal branding as I explained that a while ago.
I didn’t want to make this one too long as it’s self explanatory. Make a name for your product or make a name for your service but making a name for yourself is stupid. The only time I seen it work is when someone is promoting products they own or cosign for as their angle but, most of the time its a celebrity spokesperson. Everyone says George Foreman grill but George Foreman doesn’t own one red cent of the main company. In a corporate environment it’s usually a bunch of people sitting at a meeting who want to get recognized for a new idea that helps the plantation. In a educational environment it’s usually a bunch of academic monkeys (screaming Ooooh ooo) raising their hands so the professor notices them and gives them credit.
You tell me where making a name for yourself has worked out for the Hustler? If you aren’t pushing your own product then you are being pimped through the con of making you stand out to push the agenda of the plantation you happen to be on!

Freeman damn I got to be on my P’s & Q’s with my words. This is the way school is set up though for you to run to the front of the line. How long will it take for someone like me to get all of this out of my mind.
It’s not necessarily about getting them out of your mind it’s more about recognizing them when you hear them. Everyone has been brainwashed but what you know what tactics were used to brainwash you can stop yourself from doing them and take advantage of Customers who still believe in them.

Damn, they fooled me. So it’s best to be Simon on American Idol, not the thousands of folks waiting hours to get put on or the American Idol winner?

i think you just saved a few of these youngins lives with this post. for those of us who live in places like detroit or compton we know 1st hand that trying 2 make a name for yourself will get your name and picture put on a t-shirt.
no matter how far in this game i go, i still want to be able to hit the coney island in the hood for some chili cheese fries and not worry about someone putting my lights out strictly based off hate, jealousy, or envy
@AH – Once you understand how much you are getting dicked by wanting to be the performer instead of the provider you won’t want to entertain people as much anymore. Now I’m not saying a cat who is a one man show can’t do it but he owns everything. Entertainment is the ultimate in getting dicked as auditioning to get 10% of what you produce has to be set up by the devil. The whole angle to putting yourself out there to be chose should let you know you ain’t winning.
@A.B – See bruh a lot of cats think fame is just a bunch of haters but we know there’s other cats who are set to rob you and make your life dangerous. The wealthy don’t worry about making a name because they own the name and laugh when they see people making styles out of hats they bought from Korea for 20 cents!
I’m just trying to keep us focused on that Empire dough not that participation dough we see on the streets and on TV. Every time they show the geek who owns Facebook or Twitter he doesn’t look like he tried to make a name for himself at all. Someone has been spreading a horrible CON throughout our folks neighborhoods encouraging us to give our talents to them to manage and rape. This post was just another dumbass saying that the naive slave tells to the younger naive slave about getting money.
