The Big Boys

Reading time: 2 – 4 minutes

Yep you’re right they just appeared out of nowhere.  A new old angle that is being brought again is to CON us to believe that these little beer makers somehow broke into the big leagues. All of a sudden Jeremiah Weed and Sam Adams are the little engine that could. But when you dig behind the names you’ll find one is owned by Nabisco and the other is part of Anheuser-Busch. Now while there might have been in the past a small Hustler making moonshine in their area…. what you see now is a Con.

See the game to be exposed here is Anheuser-Busch can’t come out with anything new with their name so they go about buying up small companies and putting money behind them. The small company takes the 100 million and then uses their story of struggle to make you feel that there is really a white man called a brewmaster making sure your Sam Adams is perfect. They give you the story of Bavarian Hops and since you want to feel the little man can make it you want to support the underdog. You see this corny white guy who seems to love smelling hops and tasting beer and you want to be part of the story that supports small business.

With Nabisco I’m sure they don’t want you to make the connection between Oreo Cookies and them selling Four Loko clone under a biker name like Jeremiah Weed. So all of a sudden it’s branded as some kind of rebel hooch that was made for tough guys. Since you like Kool Aid in your 40 ounce they couldn’t let Four Loko take the whole market. I’m sure none of you cats thought Nabisco with the crackers and cookies would come into the Liquor game! But, you need to investigate EMPIRES because they have a portfolio of products that would shock the world.

You can always tell when the Big Boys are pushing this CON. All of a sudden this small company has 100 commercials on during the NBA playoffs which a small company can never afford. Next they sponsor the Halftime report for MLS soccer. Then they’ll do some tent events at your local volleyball match at the beach. See they roll out the same angles no matter what they introduce and once you realize it then you know they aren’t who they say they are.

See the angle of the Big Boys is most people will not give to the rich so they have to hide that behind the story of the little guy making good.  When you build your empire remember this angle whenever you run into people thinking you own everything.

This is a classic positioning strategy used hy the big boys to gain dominance and market share in different product categories . Because coming out with a product under the same name to compete with the fourloco will only dillute the brand in which they have dominance or considerable recognition. Procter & gamble uses this angle as well to sell you everything under the sun but under a different brand name. This is a great angle to use to build the empire. Love this post Freeman

We can use what the big boys use on our small angles and accomplish the exact same thing. Cats are straight building empires and own everything from soap to four loco and we have to start thinking about building the exact same way.

I always wondered how they could get enough money to have commercials. I mean they aren’t free or really cheap otherwise every mom and pop would be on CNN. You got me thinking about money in new ways. Much love for the angles you drop on the R&G freeman.

You got to wake up the average cat and let them know the Big Boys are doing the same hustle on the street just with millions and a commercial behind them. We got to learn all the ways of money even if we aren’t at that level yet.

I always wondered that with the Sam Adams they can run all these commercials around sporting events and they portray themselves as a small company. On top of that I really don’t see that many Budweiser commercials either. Thanks for putting us on game freeman

Yeah the angle the big boys use is a Con for sure. How can you be a small company and you are paying millions in advertising? Glad to solve the problem for you.
