Once your business is up for a couple of years you’ll run into cats who think because they went to school they should have a say in business. Since they write for the business magazines somehow someway you should listen to their angles on business. Most if not all of these type of cats to the Suckers look like they know but to those of us who have done it we know they are idiots. The goal is not to even have a conversation or an argument with these type of cats because it accomplishes nothing. You’ll be talking about what type of sprinkles to put on top of you cupcake for hours aka talking about nothing!

I have a breakfast joint in the bay and I usually get some dummy telling me he knows how to run a restaurant. My family has been doing this for years and I opened up my own 4 years ago. So I know what you mean because I get people who think because they went to school they are somehow built for business. Love the podcasts for monday morning motivation freeman.
Welcome Pinoy – Kababayan? – First I know you must be up in Daly City right? People judge a person by the way they look or how they talk so you could be running into what I run into. Just because I walk around casually people assume whatever business I do they can do easy. I only get mad that most of these magazines have people writing stories about business who never ran a business. Most of these cupcakes are just envious that you are making money on your own and they want to show that they are on your same level.. but they aren’t!
I have to admit I was one of these cupcake dudes and I used to give people angles to try simply because I didn’t have the heart to try for myself…but after awhile I got fed up and went and did for self and never looked back.
I think we all are in the beginning because we have ideas on money so want to see someone else take the risk with it. But, sooner or later you become the cat who actually did it and built it and you get tired of half ass suggestions from people who will never do it.
This is an excellent point. I’m thinking about how many times people I know have said they want to get an investment property just because they’ve seen me do it and think it’s easy. But I’ve had to be completely honest with some of them in telling them that they just don’t have the level of toughness that they need to be a landlord. I’ve told them straight up, I didn’t know going into it that I would have to evict people with kids right before Christmas; sometimes forcibly. The ability to deal with that kind of stuff just ain’t even in a lot of people. But “cupcakes” believe that folks will just pay you because it’s what they theoretically should do. Deadbeats don’t operate on theory at all.
People want to be great but they are scared to do great things for sure. So like a scared person they gather all the information they can about the bully but never fight. Then the next step is a subtle hate saying they can do what you did if they wanted to. Then after that they try to attack anything that comes out of your mouth to prove to theirselves they are smarter than you in backgammon!
It’s funny to see in action. How can someone intelligent discount the grunt work of actually doing it but somehow buy the book of the cat who did it. Man… I don’t understand people at all.
Freeman you know tagalog too? I’m not in daly city but I’m close so when you come out to the bay we can chop it up over breakfast. I hear ya because I serve 200 people a morning making 5 bucks profit but since it doesn’t seem like money they think I’m a poor filipino. People really don’t understand money and my parents didn’t even graduate high school and we live better than most people around here.
Yeah and your Dodger beat my Giants again. The rivalry continues..
C’mon man I go to Nations on Junipero Serra whenever I’m out there so I run into folks on that side. Man I only know like 5 words in tagalog and the other 4 are curse words. I got family all over the bay so if you aren’t down in LA with me saying Pinoy then the only other place it’s heavy is around Daly City.
Straight up the best anyone can get coming out of college is 7K a month right. So clean take home is probably 4. Now you get that in 4 days on your angle right? So people don’t understand money in the least and that’s why I write the R&G. Don’t pay attention homie it’s like a teenager mad at me for not wearing skittle shoes when I wear coral walkers in the ocean ya dig!
Awww man it’s just the start of the season and I’m sure the Dodgers will find a way to fvck it up. LA is good for basketball just don’t pay attention to the clippers! But, we should have the Kings moving to Anaheim (new name will be the Royals) for next year so we’ll have 3 teams in LA for the start of next season.
LOL @ National Association of Cupcake Ass People. I believe a person shouldn’t comment or give advice on something until they’ve actually gotten their hands dirty in that particular field. Not just book knowledge or Monday morning quarterbacking. That’s why I can’t stand watching CNN, Fox News or MSNBC. A bunch of political “experts” who’ve never done anything but talk about people who are actually in politics. Same with CNBC and the “experts” who do nothing but comment on what money other people are making. SMH. Color commentators acting like they’re on the field.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with asking how a hustle works but it’s a whole other thing to offer direction from someone who never walked the path. Now I think everyone has experiences to contribute to just about anything but you have to limit yourself when you know you don’t do computer programming.
Well at least those cats on TV get paid and someone puts a microphone in front of them so it’s natural for you,I and them to think they are important. With most Cupcakes they just think since they were smart in Quantum Physics that maybe they can contribute to making breakfast.
A perfect example of this is when the dude that started fedex got a “C” on his paper about his future empire. Good thing he didn’t listened to his “well educated” professor.
Or any example of someone who sticks to their guns. All the naysayers never made a dollar that didn’t have a account and routing number on the bottom of the checks. For those who want the empire it requires thinking and executing what others see but are too scared to do.
There are people who copy others and there are those who create. To the creator goes the empire to the copiers go a good job!
Man, Freeman, I swear like the first 9 min, you prob describe how these folks be viewing me at the JO, he is a good SLAVE/Worker. I am so trying to get away from that ish and have my own empire; damn lemme continue to listen but its fire already.
Well thinking isn’t usually seen that’s why people get Conned all of the time. Just stack money from your steady and build the empire when you’re ready homie!
Also alot of these so called “smart” dudes think they are curing aids when it comes to the accumulation of money but in actually its just steady repetition of an angle that brings steady chips that build the empire over time.
Exactly, there ain’t no mystery! I think once these cupcakes think they have a good idea they go out and tell everyone how they should do it. But, most of these cats never actually implement their own advice so they remain mediocre with millionaire thoughts.
