Peer Pressure
Reading time: 2 – 3 minutes
Once you are who you say you are you’ll find out that people will feel intimidated. Most people are used to people who never deliver on their promises or are a lot less that what they imagined. You will run into cats who have been operating a long time as the smartest cat they know and then you stumble upon them and ruin their ideas of themselves. See the key thing to learn here is most cats base their intelligence on knowing while you (and I) base yours on what you have built.
So the peer pressure is not the usual cornball peer pressure you see with teenagers and other followers. NO, the peer pressure you will have comes from people constantly comparing you to them. It’s a intelligent man’s form of hate as they look for flaws in your game and in your person so they can feel more comfortable in finding out they aren’t as smart as they thought. Just like a kid at a spelling bee who found out he can’t spell Outrageous these cornballs are shocked that someone can and has produced more than them.
The key is produced! When you were a kid life was about grades but when you become a Man it’s about what have you done or taken on. Intelligent hate is way more subtle than most people can fathom. You can have a cat who literally doesn’t want to have a conversation with you becuase he doesn’t have anything going on in his life. You can have a cat who doesn’t want you to come over his house because he realizes he doesn’t have anything to show better than you. You will have a cat who doesn’t want to roll out with you because your story of grind and come up will outshine his.
So the peer pressure that comes with success is way more competitive and those who can’t compete just hate! Those who know they aren’t going to go another step forward don’t want to be reminded that they pulled up lame. In the end they are harmless as your ambition will take you past them and truth be told they don’t want you around.

In short: if you have peers like that, replace them with better peers.
True, but you don’t realize all these traits until way later. In the beginning no one really pays attention but accomplishment and building over time is hard to ignore. Some people are cool with it and some people wish you would move away.
