No one is really born cool or knowing all the proper words to say at any given time. Some people are just more in tune with what’s going on and behind their words is a confidence that makes anyone believe. With that being said there are people who want to be down so much they come up with words that are not related to anything. I’m sure you have a friend (or maybe it’s you) that keeps on trying to coin some word or phrase that will catch on. The problem with trying is that’s when you mess up because it’s not on the spot game. I just call cats who are like this Children of the Corn only because it’s scary to see what they will do in order to be down!

Now I’m not talking about people who like to joke around with words as they don’t take themselves seriously. Nope I’m talking about the guy who said they called him 50 cent before 50 cents. Nope, I’m not talking about the guy who picked up enough slang from people who he happened to be around. Nope, I’m talking about the guy who never seen any parts of the streets but know every slang word from listening to rap and the HBO show The Wire! The Cornballs think if they speak all the slang then somehow someone will think whatever Cornball theory they have will someone be true. Yes, it works with the Suckers but never with the Hustlers.

What the Cornball doesn’t realize is when he has the money whatever he says on how to get it will be respected. People copy Bill Gates, Donald Trump and Warren Buffets words all of the time and that’s only because they have Millions to back it up. Why would anyone in their right mind spend so much of their time trying to convince broke people that they know how to get money too. Why would someone copy the slang of people who don’t know the first thing about money to be cool when talking about money? Why would someone want to know the proper words about Money instead of actually focusing on getting the money?

Yeah it’s interesting to hear different ways of describing money but even I don’t take it that damn seriously. I use the slang from all the places I’ve lived — ON MY WAY UP FROM NOTHING! I don’t say anything because I want to be cool…. especially around cats who don’t know how to Hustle Water! I’m sure there are people who listen to the podcasts that think I am corny myself but believe me I don’t say too much to anyone to impress them. No matter what I ever say if I’m about my money and I have proof that I came up from it then no one will have any grounds to come against it.

So to all you cats who want to come up with a new way of describing Money… whether it be Moola, Scratch, Greenbacks, Cheddar, Stacks and my personal favorite Chips! Just make the damn money and whatever you call it will be copied. Because to those other Children of the Corn they want to make it just as bad and if you succeed they’ll think that’s what it should be called.
