Corny works because it makes the average Customer feel that it’s informal and also it makes them feel superior. If you act excited over something that is stupid you’ll see that people are amazed like they are watching a comedian. It’s a great selling tactic to make your Customers feel that they are missing out of the ignorant fun that they see a cornball engage in. Don’t underestimate this angle because it’ll get you in the door and get the money out of the Customer’s pockets.

we all have a corny side. lol
I agree we all do but, when it comes to making money we don’t want to let it out. Corny is the universally funny angle that the big companies already know. So they’ll make a very stupid commercial with a elementary jingle knowing you’ll remember what makes up a Big Mac.
100% truth, when I hustled bottle water I rocked a sign around my neck that said “super cold water” 1 dollar NO TAX ! They went for it , a customer said she stopped just because of the sign, conry makes money ! TRUTH!

It disarms most cats because it makes you seem approachable. Add a little bit of corn to any hustle and you’ll get those people who were on the fence.
I used to be a bartender at Friday’s – those uniforms were hideous.
But I worked at a good location and had good shifts so I got paid (Took home between $1200-$1700 a week for working 32hr weeks. We had med/dent/vis isurance and three weeks paid vacation. It was like having a real job but with time to do other things.)
I took home as mush as my lawyer but worked less hours and had enough contacts to get hooked-up anywhere so I rarely had the chance to spend the money I made.
I worked with and met a lot of hot women so I didn’t have to spend money looking for women.
I had a guy offer to by my ugly suspenders for $700 and another girl was offered $900.
We were the worst looking people in the business but we lived good lives.
It’s all part of the show and since most Customers think they are supposed to be entertained when they spend their money they will pay for the circus. Now we just have to get people to embrace the Corn so they can have the money from being a entertainer.
People really don’t understand money and that’s why they’ll go through years of school to make the same money when they could’ve hustled and had the same amount at 18.
But to restate your point – those who OWNED the chain got paid by making us dress like clowns.
The power of money huh UBJ? Now most people won’t dress up like that at all if given a option but some people make so much money they consider dressing up like a clown as a par for the course. I used to have buddies working at Disneyland and they would dress in yellow selling you corn dogs, they would shave their face and they would smile at people for no damn reason. But, they got paid and like you eloquently stated above Disney GOT PAID!
