Firm Handshake
Reading time: 2 – 4 minutes
Maybe when everyone was farming a handshake shows how rough your hands were and how firm you gripped meant something. But, in modern times this is another myth and probably is a sign of a cat who has some tough man issues he is trying to cover up one firm handshake at a time.
When I was a kid some older cats used to put us on about how to deal with other men. You shake his hand firmly and you look him eye to eye and you speak confidently. Well if I was in Old England or on a street where all this rep crap meant something I’d probably have to do it. But, in this chip game what in the hell does all that matter. A cat who shakes my hand firmly to me is trying to tell me he is strong and in other words we got a asshole on our hands. That handshake is not going to make me trust you anymore when it comes to money and in fact it’s going to make me trust you less.
Anytime you run into someone who has all these rituals in front of their hustle and money then you know it’s time for you to put up your dukes. This handshake crap comes from a time when that meant something but I bet you my bottom dollar to the cat with chips it didn’t mean a thing back then too. This is another myth that cats on the street has elevated into their overall manhood that doesn’t make sense. It’s as stupid as a guy wearing a suit making the average Sucker believe that they are about their business. It’s as stupid as someone getting their friend to cosign their hustle as validation that the hustle works. Yet, everyday someone falls for the okie doke!
There are a lot of cultural myths like this that show up depending on who you run into. Some cats think if you have a drink, others think if you are part of a group and yet others believe if somehow you came from the same neighborhood or background that it validates the chips. Welp it doesn’t so don’t fall for it and in fact wonder why any man doing business with you wants to show you anything but the deal!
“A new study backs up what the etiquette books have been saying all along, that a firm handshake helps makes a good first impression for both males and females.” – all Suckers to the Game!

Can we even say what’s up now? You got me thinking handshakes are a con. What about what’s up? What about brothers nodding their heads at each other? I think you take it to the paranoia level but you told us business has sharks so why not watch everything including your hands.
Can’t we all just get along! LOL
Look I’m just exposing another myth as a handshake doesn’t mean anything. Only a sucker will believe the grip of a handshake means you’re a good guy or that you’re trustworthy. That’s just plain stupid and I can’t sugarcoat it.
It’s not paranoia. Just get the deal done and go home. All this have drinks, play golf, have something in common stuff is a bunch of fluff. If you actually like the cat then the handshake didn’t make you like them any extra did it? Do the deal and go home and let the friendship come about naturally instead of based off some myth.
When two brothers nod their heads it’s acknowledgment not a trust me with your money thing.
The head nod is a staple. This is especially needed when in a room full of white people. The nod from across the room that says “if something goes down, I got your back and you better have mine.” LOL
Yeah it’s funny as the head nod to me always was a subtle acknowledgment that we see each other despite other people around. Truth be told when I see a brother and he doesn’t give me a head nod I think something is wrong with him. But, that could be me.
