Blueprint for Black Power – Book Review

Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes

Yes, it’s a undertaking to read but it’s a valuable read. Dr. Amos Wilson is a man who took time, wisdom and knowledge and made a hell of a book. Now if you read it with a open mind you’ll learn a lot from a man who has solutions. If you read it with a closed mind you’ll pick it apart and elevate yourself instead of learning.

What I learned from this book, besides Powernomics from Dr. Claude Anderson; is there are a lot of people working on a sustainable solution for Black folks to do for self. I took some of the great ideas from Dr. Amos Wilson and incorporated them into my own strategy. Overall I am proud that some people use their intelligence for the benefit of our own. Read it  but the cat is a heavy thinker so it might take a while..

Yeah, this book is thick. In fact, I’m still finishing it up as I have taken breaks to read other books. Like Powernomics, this book is full of ideas and philosophy of how important it is for the Black community to build businesses and become self-sufficient. There’s no way a people can truly be a people without producing. Until we are producers, we will always be customers. And customers are always at the whim of the producer.

You know what’s funny I know like 20 other cats like you who haven’t finished the book either. I read that book over probably six months because Dr. Wilson was brain dumping and you have to take sometime to assimilate all that information.

We have tried every other way to stand on our own two. Hopefully we’ll realize we have to do it ourselves.
