Think & Grow Rich a Black Choice – Book Review

Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes

The original book is Think & Grow Rich by Napolean Hill but Dr. Kimbrough profiles the traits and challenges of African-Americans in attaining wealth.  I put this book up as essential reading for any cat who is trying to really get out there and do for self. Besides being pretty motivational it’s actually a easy read.

You can find videos of Dr. Kimbrough explaining the logic of his book and also what new projects he is working on. When I picked up the book I was happy to read someone create it from my point of view but since I read the original I could see the similarities.  I got from this book continuing ammo on my own grind as I had to keep myself motivated…

Yeah, I read the original first too. Kimbrough gives it that Black spin so you can kind of see what you can be instead of just being motivated for motivation sake.

Very good book. I like the examples of Black business people highlighted throughout the book. I have the Napolean Hill version but have yet to read it.

Yeah I read both and I liked how he showed excellence in our race. It’s the same angle as Barack Obama yeah I thought I could be president but here’s someone who looks like me actually doing it.

Yeah it’s a great read for sure and more ammo. The more of these kind of books with examples you read the more you’ll up your belief in yourself. There are those who went ahead of us and done great things that somehow are forgotten. I think to bring them up and show how they succeeded can only embolden you on your way to doing for self.

Yeah, just add it to the library homie and you’ll reference it in your mind as you build. There is a pattern to the game I just think you have to read so much to figure it out but this book is definitely part of that pattern.
