What Business Do I Start?

Reading time: 3 – 4 minutes

You know I hate this question when someone asks me like I can look at them and say Ohh you would be a good Bike Salesman. LMBAO man I don’t know about you but I can tell you the process that works for me. I always start every business idea from the A.G Gaston point of view meaning is there a need that hasn’t been filled that I can fill. The billions are made off of some simple crap and usually it isn’t a service but is a product.  The only time I think of a service is if I notice a area that business people are just scared to make money in aka the ghetto.  So below is my basic process that I go through for my current business and for all future business…

  1. What product is used everyday and has to be replaced when used
  2. What product is already packaged so all I have to do is send it out
  3. What product can I sell for less than $9.99 in this recession or for $19.99 after the recession.
  4. Is my product a Need or a Want?
  5. Is my product so unique that only I need it? I’d better send emails out asking others for their opinion.
  6. Is my product already in the market too much that people won’t care?
  7. Can my product be delivered in a new way like Netflix did for DVD’s?
  8. Can I source the product from overseas for dirt cheap?
  9. Can I find a distributor in my area to buy it from for cheap so I won’t have to carry a lot of inventory?
  10. Do I need to create a website, twitter, youtube, facebook page to sell the product?
  11. If I was to take the product to a flea market/swapmeet could it sell itself without any bells and whistles?

There are a couple more that I didn’t list but they get very detailed. Now notice I never asked myself what kind of business do I start? I never went into any business trying to figure out what I would be happy to sell to anyone. I think to find happiness in the product instead of finding happiness in the money is why most people fail. Business is about making money and all this liking what you do is really you hearing that they found something that comes easily to them but they make a boatload of money off of it. That’s why I always encourage people to do what you have been trained to do as a business instead of going out and trying to be a baker.

So What Business Do I Start? Whichever one is profitable and makes me a boatload of money.  See to figure out what I would like to do is stupid to me because really I want to be wealthy and not think about making money. So since I haven’t figured out how to do that yet most likely whatever business I start I won’t like unless it makes me money and I think I am getting close to that great day of not thinking about money.  So I hope the list up there helps because you can do any kind of business but you will only succeed if you stop trying to do what you feel good about and instead do what people actually NEED!

Well now you don’t need to since I listed my process. Don’t sweat it I just laugh when people think I can see what they would make money doing. All I can do is provide the universal and that is the right mindstate for chips to happen. What you choose is up to you.

Hey don’t get scared away but I don’t know how I can answer it. I can evaluate a hustle and see where the money is on it but I money is a solo thing so I can’t gauge if you’re going to do the work to actually make it. I’m not a talent scout as much as I am one cat trying to illustrate a way out of no way.

    Hang in there LOL!

It kills me when someone says they want to start doing something they like and make money and they will be happy.(keep in mind they have been doing something for X amount of years they can’t stand) I always say if its making more money, which is ultimately the end result and you don’t have to work for someone else, and you’re not hurting anybody, wtf you talking bout. It could be a cookie shop or a cleaning business, I don’t care.

People don’t realize what being happy in business really means! It means we are making money and this is easy. Even if the business is hard if you’re making a lot of money you’ll find a way to be happy with it. Being happy in business means making money otherwise it’s called a HOBBY if you don’t expect any money.
