Admire None, Respect All

Reading time: 2 – 4 minutes

Hustle is the process of making money and anyone who is successful should be respected. Rarely does a Hustler reach superstar status and if so people truly don’t understand all the work it took to get there. Once you get started in your Hustle you will find people are assigning GOD status to you and your Hustle. There’s nothing wrong with having Spectators to your Hustle but it’s a whole different story when you actually think you deserve it. Again Hustle in and of itself is to be respected the person doing it may want to be admired but they just executed the plan.

chavez-salutes-the-crowdNow don’t get me wrong there are certain people in this world who are really born with special talents. They take the common and make it uncommon, they may add their own style and flair to the way their Hustle comes across to you. Hustle is not like watching Tiger Woods, or Kobe Bryant, or even David Beckham. Hustle is the process and anyone can learn the process. A Seasoned Hustler can take anything and make money with it, because they truly understand the process. Once a Seasoned Hustler figures out the game they can take any item whether it be music, clothing, alcohol, clubs, cars, websites, and television shows and make money with it. Most Suckers mistake this understanding of the process as some kind of gift, some kind of insight, some kind of GOD given talent. Suckers attend the seminars, read books and even buy all the products the Hustler is selling trying to say if I act like them I’ll be like them. There is a key difference between how the Sucker and the Spectator sees the Hustle. Spectators are inspired while Suckers just admire.

Any man, woman in this world who has some form of financial success has one thing over you. They have figured the process out on how to make money in their Hustle and have done it over and over again. The Seasoned Hustler has discipline, determination, and overall a blind eye to everything that doesn’t contribute to the increase of their financial stability. The Seasoned Hustler sees that someone else is making money in it and thinks they can too. They know the family on the corner that runs a liquor store wasn’t born with special talents. They just organized and opened up shop. They know the CEO in the Music Industry doesn’t have any vocal talent but through their willingness to Hustle they now run things. They watch how one Hustler parlays his Hustle into multiple things from shoes, clothes, alcohol, clubs, hotels and even running a farm. The Seasoned Hustler respects the process and thus respects the Hustler who is disciplined enough to carry it out. The Seasoned Hustler may not like the persons music, clothes, or lifestyle, but respects the fact that it was made in the first place.

BottomLine: Do Not Admire the Person, but respect the Hustle being done.

This reminds me of the magic show where people going ooh and ahh because the magician performed a trick/technique they don’t understand.

The biggest hustle in the world is getting people to believe you more special than the next person, like the $7 Fiji bottle water

So what I am not supposed to go to the Learning Annex now? What are you really getting at here? Maybe I’m confused!

on the move, I don’t understand your comment.

Whether you choose to go to a Learning Annex or not is your concern. It no one job hand hold you up the mountain..climb up or prepare to slide down.

I think the message was clear – these cats aren’t special, they doing things we not doing and we need to figure how how they gets it cracking

@Ed – Yeah I laugh at the Fiji water hustle too but people want to feel special. All they have to do is name a blueberry muffin a scone and people pay extra!

@OTM – I’m saying don’t look at these guys as GODS! So many people call themselves experts and the only thing they know is about 3 books more than you. Ed has it right they aren’t special!

The information is important the person saying it isn’t. So lets take Puffy, I personally hate all the music he creates but I respect the company he built and the mass hustle he puts down every time he needs to make some money. I respect what he built but I can care less about what he produces.

no offense but i had 2 lol @ the learning annex question. my sister taught a class there (making your dreams come true or something similar) for $42 per person. she was doing public relations @ the time and had a couple of acts but didn’t have any REAL credentials at all. she’s a pretty good bullshit artist and she pretty much winged the whole class. it was amazing….lol. i thought to myself, shit i coulda did that. the difference between her and me is she DID.

OK, I get it. I thought you were telling us not to listen to them at all. You have us reading books and I was thinking you were contradicting yourself by saying don’t attend seminars and gather information. I get it now!

@Keish – What makes me laugh about your cousin is she still went and did it despite knowing she doesn’t have the credentials. Money is for the willing and she’s willing. You’re right she did it and you thought about it. She might not have the big picture but I love that she’s hustling for it.

@OTM – Glad you got it. I wanted to make sure people don’t put obstacles and idols in front of their hustle. We just are the stewards of information none of us are the creators of it. The majority of people just love to admire and copy off of other people that are famous. I just want to destroy that picture so you can reach the heights and not think it’s one in a million shot!

I do admire my boss and respect her too because she is showing me her hustle. One thing she is teachingnot to worry about things I can’t control. Even though I whine like a big baby she is really good to me because she is letting me see her hustle first hand and is grooming me for the REAL world. We were getting an extention done for a client and her and the paralegal had to stay up to 5am to get it done. When have people that are depending on you can’t afford to come up with excuses because no really cares they hired you to do a job and they expect for it to done, which I see.

Her confidence and her straightness about business and clients is something I can’t take for granted because she has succeeded in her line work over and over again and all i can do is learn how she is doing it and apply to what I want to do.

I HAVE nothing but respect for her and i admire her too. She shows and tells me to get the job done and don’t make NO EXCUSES. I guess she is pushing me and I am resisting a little bit. But I do admire her go get it-ness, if that’a word and will learn from her. It’s funny because when she walks in the room everything changes because she is a busy person and you gotta move!!

My first day of work I spent the night at her house. I said to myself so this is how it feels to live with your employer LOL and she got and cooked me breakfast. She even tries to treat the staff to lunch every Friday. SO she is teaching me how to a good boss when it is my time too.

She really does treat me like family and I am grateful for that because many folks will not see that way. Sometimes I can see how ungrateful I am when I really take a look around and SEE all the wonder things I have and people willing to show me the way they succeeded and the mistakes they made.

Look I’ll say this to you and you can take it or leave it. No matter how nice a person is BUSINESS IS ABOUT MONEY! Now I give my employees a lot of freedom but they know I want things done NO EXCUSES! Right now she is teaching you because it is in her best interest to bring you up to speed so she can make more money.

Now I know you’re saying no she isn’t about money she is nice and she is teaching me. I agree but lets never forget what this whole game is about. I tell you this because when ish hits the fan she has to make a choice and it will come down to money not being friendly, not being nice and not teaching you. She can be the nicest person in the world but she is in the boxing ring and she has a job to do!

Some Bosses are appreciative of all the people who help them to make money but it doesn’t mean they aren’t ruthless. I’m trying to get you to understand the nature of MONEY so you don’t get tripped up with nice, mean, hot, cold, happy, sad, quiet and mad. Money is cold and people who run the company making it ain’t no F-ing Mary Poppins!

    I Got It. THANKS!

I am not saying your Boss isn’t nice, as much as I’m saying Money & Business has a different set of rules. All those people who worked at GM and Ford got layed off from relying on the company loving them. Ain’t no love in this so appreciate that she makes it comfortable but don’t ever get to comfortable!
