I like this! There is another level of money that we just don’t see. You got me with the electric company with the Edison family because I thought that was a government agency!

By listening to this podcast, which was very helpful. One thing that kept coming to my mind was FOCUS. Stay focus. It seems to me that Wealth look like staying Focused.

Lately I have been in the inner circle of hearing and seeing how some business transactions go down and do see the “owner” of someting having to borrow money for someone else to keep the place going. Now they are putting their employees on, but they are getting put on to keep things going. Things are in the beginning stages so I do understand the to have investers. But what I also is these people going back and trying to buy these people out that helped put them on so that they can run things how they want to run without.

Just a side note about the mail call. Friday was National Boss Day. As I brought my employer a gift and card to show my appreciation I realized that and she told me I must be trying to get job security, which I said in mind this job is just temporary inconvience for me. But it dawned on me. If I can be fired, then I Ain’t No Boss!

@OTM – Yeah most cats don’t realize the energy and gas companies majority of times are privately owned. There are people making money every second from the items they supply or the transactions they enable other people to do. This is the real money!

@Freedom – Look investors are not necessary to start a business. The bank is not necessary to start a business. You can save and make money to start a business. They have set up the game that you think about getting loans and investors in order to start a business.

Really you want to be independent when you start a business and not borrow to much of anything. People are financing their business with banks and really the banks own the company because they are always in debt. Debt and loans should be used for growth not for regular cash flow. This is why in my industry other companies are dying off while I am still going. I don’t have loans financing my company so it’s my money being used while other places have revolving credit.

I would’ve taken your Boss’ statement to mean this person is outwardly aware of his/her power. This means TO ME my job is at this persons whim and I should be thinking about where I should go next in order to shield myself from this person’s assumed power. If you give someone a gift and the first thing they say is you are trying to impress me then you know this Asshole is not someone you want to be under and definitely not someone you want to build anything with.

That’s way I am hell bent on getting my own and doing for myself, for my future children, and family because I don’t want them to ever have to put up with this type of crap! Now I will teach them discipline and responsiblity because protection of ideas (patents), copyright, and to trademark.

You know whats real funny is that my cousin who got me this job has guilt tripped me into staying until the end of year. You know what she told me? She said since you have “given your word” you will stay wait and leave after the first of the year. Now if this lady fires me then then I guess my cousin will say that was out her control.

Giving my word is one thing and I will honor my word since I am helping this lady out and she thinks she is doing me the favor.

Well people say things when they think they will effect you or they have some kind of power over you. Everyone who runs a business isn’t bad it’s just the person who thinks they really control your life.

Your cousin got you the job then you should try to think of doing your job to maintain her recommendation. This ain’t the time to be thinking out loud when someone is paying you to learn. The lady has no reason to fire you and since you are in a new place you should take this year to explore where and what you want to start your own. Don’t become so dissatisfied with your current employer that if messes up your future because you haven’t figured out how to have a poker face at work.

Money ain’t about loyalty. Money ain’t about your word, what will be good for everyone, what will be the nice thing to do and what won’t hurt your relationships. Money is cold and if you see something better you should take advantage of it. Right now you don’t see that something better so deal with knowing better but staying where you are.

It’s all in your head because most people are unaware of how their words are received. They have a lazy tongue and reveal who they are giving you the opportunity to do something about it way before they even start to plot.

This was a very good podcast.

This was a great podcast on the drive to work. You might want to hollar at those guys about getting that building on Madison and Pulaski in Chicago for lease, sounds like a nice corner.

The saddest thing I see is when cats are trying to get put on by cats who ain’t the money! Of course, multi-level marketing is the first thing that comes to mind. It’s like the guy bragging he know the bodyguard at the club but don’t know the owner.

Now with the guy who got $10,000 talking about he want to flip it into $100K, I hope he understand your podcast and learn to deal with the cats who can really put him on and put his money to work.

@Freedom – Once you realize it won’t change anything you’ll stop letting your emotions open your mouth. Most of the time for me it comes down to me doing something about it or rapidly forgetting about it. I don’t spend more than a minute concentrating on things I can’t change, and that’s a whole bunch of ish!

So you brought up FOCUS, we’ll it’s easy to FOCUS when you clear your mind of crap that you can do absolutely nothing about!

@Ed – If the spot on Mad/Pulaski is on sale it’ll still be there when things get a big cheaper from this recession. So let the cat who has it go into foreclosure and then pick it up from the bank when they want to clear out their inventory before the end of their fiscal year.

This is why I love the in the trunk hustle of rap music. Most of these cats can sell their music on the street and make a hell a lot more money than they ever will by going with a major. Check out Slim Thug hustle and how he made more money out the trunk than his first record on Interscope which is also part of Universal Music Group and thus SONY!

The cat got 10K to flip then I believe the cat got enough game to flip it. Most cats are just slow on their reading and that’s why I’m always pushing the books so you can apply a pattern from a unrelated Hustle to your current Hustle.

@Freedom & Ed – With this podcast I just wanted to make cats realize VOLUME is the money. RESOURCES are the money. PUTTING CATS ON is the money. If your Hustle doesn’t involve one of those three most likely your HUSTLE is being patted down by some other entity skimming money off of your Hustle. Ain’t it funny how people who don’t sing make more money off the singers than the singer herself?

They don’t want any real competition in that arena. They want us all to believe if we get a deal with them then we are rich!

Ayo, thanks Freeman, I needed that!! That definitely gave me the wherewithal to push my day over the goal line. Ya know, one word came to mind while listening to your podcast: COMMITMENT. It was like an epiphany. Check it, I have a tee-shirt business that I’ve been nursing for ‘bout 2 yrs, and of course i have yet to move it from the abstract to that which is more concrete because I’ve been allowing my job to mentally wear me out. Why, you might ask?? Because I have yet to COMMIT myself; COMMIT to me means 100% laser-beam focus. Someone once said, “If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse”. That would explain why my prior effort is not even a blip on your radar. I know owning a tee shirt business does not seem like much to some; as the piece your podcast speak of would suggest a level of sophistication that I have yet to attain, but its mine and it deserves at least my full COMMITMENT before I rule it out, would not you agree??

  10. FreeMan wrote:

@Marc – Man this podcast is to open your mind to the possibilities of money not to diminish your hustle. Look Ed Hardy started a T-shirt company and blew up, that Affliction stuff was a T-shirt company too.

All you have to do with your T-shirt company is bring it across the finish line. I have companies up that have yet to return big money but they are finished and thus the opportunity to blow up exists. I pride myself on finishing the product and letting my Hustle take it where it needs to be. That’s why I always stress people to try and start and finish because we need to have a product to sell to make the money and that’s more important than having a great idea about 90% of the time.

Commitment comes when your Hustle is ready to receive money. See right now you have it sitting on the shelf as a idea instead of spending money to make money. Look there’s two way to see the game 1) because you have to 2) because you need to. The HAVE to people probably lost their job and they need more money, the NEED to people realize the road they are on is not going to lead to their goals. You are in the NEED to area so that means you NEED to force yourself to finish.

I’m sure your T-shirt company will work but in order to see if it will we need to finish!

Man that’s true, when you search on google for who owns Microsoft you get Bill Gates, but when you search for who owns Sony you get: Sony is a publicly traded company owned by it’s share holders.

  14. R&G wrote:

The real money is hidden like the guy who owns the stapler company swingline even though you see them in every school or office.

That’s how you know they don’t have as much money as they say.

  15. joeblow wrote:

So the people with the real money never show up on the Forbes 400? Because I don’t think I have ever seen a Rockefeller on there.

  16. R&G wrote:

Isn’t it funny that you never see the guy who owns Sony, 3M, Kellogs, Toyota, Coca Cola or any other monster company that you know is making Billions?

What you see is not who is really rich it’s some other number that they calculate. You can look around and know who’s really wealthy like the power companies or who owns GE.

The more you research and educate yourself about money the more you’ll know what is presented is a CROCK! Trump is not in the same league as the guy who owns Sony but every year we see Puffy and not the guy who owns Universal Music Group who distributes almost all of the records and music.

Damn it sucks to realize you have been tooled your whole life. I’m mad, and definitely am going to do something about it.

Well now you know and you can make the changes. Some people never find out. Better late than never I guess.
