Everything will grow if nurtured properly. If someone gave you any seeds, from pumpkins to roses, you expect them to grow. You know the only thing you need to do is give it plenty of light and water. There isn’t too much more to it besides exposure to sun and keeping it watered.

Every Hustle no matter what will work. I mean the right Hustler could sell ice to a Eskimo. Every Hustle is broken down into two elements having the right product to sell at the right place. The businessman calls this distribution and a product to sale. Most Suckers are in love with starting any Hustle it doesn’t matter which one as long as they say they are out there. If someone has made money from it or is making money from it you should be able to.
.
The difference between success and defeat in any Hustle is just what the person is willing to put into it. Everyone sells hamburgers only Ray Kroc made McDonald’s. How many delis did you see before Fred De Luca made Subway. So it’s not the product being sold it’s the Hustler selling the product. So if you have the right product and are posted in the right place you should be successful. Of course I say anyone can do it but really it’s anyone with the right outlook. The person who investigated the Hustle before they began. The person who decided to stand out there and see what would happen. The person who didn’t think about failure. The person who didn’t know everything but went anyway. The person who decided they didn’t have nothing to lose. The person who adjusted to their surroundings. The person who adjusted their sales pitch. The person who stayed with it when it didn’t look good. The person who sacrificed something good for the Hustle to be great.
.
Bottom Line: A lot of great ideas fail because the Sucker didn’t just ADD Hustle.

So anything will work huh? So you’re saying it’s not the product but he person?
There are so many products that are crap that work that it really comes down to the person. Look at the Snuggie! I mean was it that hard to read and have a blanket on at the same time. So much so that people are willing to pay for it?
I’ve seen enough crap work in my short lifetime that I personally believe any person with enough hustle will make the impossible possible. Being in Imports I see people bringing in crap that is so funny but then they bring in millions of it and become a millionaire. So for me and the angle I see the game it’s just the person that messes up the product not the product that messes up the person.
this is true…i’m reading a marketing book now and it’s saying that it’s not the product but how it’s marketed. you have to know your target customer and know how to give them what they want or get with the right partners who cater to the people you’re targeting.
it talks about how ralph lauren wanted to market to outlet mall customers but they didnt have enough damaged goods/leftovers to supply outlet malls so they made their own outlet stores and sold lesser quality products to outlet shoppers at the prices outlet shoppers look for so now they have people who wouldn’t have normally been able to afford or wanted to spend that kind of money on ralph lauren wearing the brand.
@Keish – Plenty of people just have knee jerk reactions to money without investigating it. Now everyone looks at Starbucks and says I can open up a coffee shop and plenty have. The difference is Starbucks is selling more than coffee they are selling a experience and that is why they have a following.
RL realized they are not getting low buy in consumers and they have adapted. This is the same Hustle that Mercedes does when they give you affordable Benzes aka a inferior product hoping that you will stay brand loyal and upgrade to the 100K cars if you ever get there.
Most failures come because people are thinking of the product more than they are thinking of their buyers. So they see others selling hamburgers and think ISH I can do that when they fail to think about marketing, location, pricing and overall customer satisfaction.
yes! that’s what the book says…any successful business starts with marketing and builds from there. also, i’ve read books on writing and how to get books published and it says to think of the target audience even before the book is written so this applies to anything you are trying to sell.
LOL I know because I read that book too. J/K LMBAO!
The mistake is trying to make people like what you like. I like Fish Tacos but do you think most Black folks who aren’t in Southern California going to eat that enough for me to make a restaurant? So when I think of any company I think of what other people usually do not me.
I don’t care for trends, I listen to a more vulgar form of rap music, I got to the beach to think and I really really don’t care what people think. Those who know me know I walk my own way. So it’s stupid for me to think what I like can be good for all. So I have to look at what the followers are doing and get in the game to sell them the same thing.
Ray Kroc copied the idea from some small stand in San Bernardino.
Is it better to be seminal or derivative?
It all depends on why you’re in the game.
Actually Ray teamed up with the McDonald brothers then bought them out later as he had rights to expand their idea. I’m sure Fred De Luca just got pissed off at the Deli one day and said I can do this faster and better.
Either way the person who sees how to enterprise a idea and is willing to take the necessary risks to bring it out onto a bigger format is usually called the genius. So like you said whether the originator or just the copier the person who wants to Hustle will find opportunity and capitalize on it.
