Titles and Hate Podcast

Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes

hello_my_name_is_stupid_postcard-p2398925653422457523pq2_90 This is a two part podcast broken addressing Titles and Hate. I had to combine them because I didn’t want to spend to much time on either one. Most people entirely too much time on both when they happen to be worthless. Look inward on what you are putting out into this world. Enjoy and Understand!

I laughed at the hater segment because I had an experience last week and wrote a blog about it.

I was on Facebook and some guy I knew wrote something like “How do you deal with haters?” and I instantly wrote a response in order to deal with haters, you need something for people to hate but did not sent it because I realize I would be dissing his little ego.

Old ass approaching 40 year old cat still thinking he 22 or some ish like that talking about “haters” and don’t got ish to show for..

I’m blown away by cats who think people are just hating on them when in reality no one is paying attention. I know I got a healthy ego but c’mon man if I shut up and keep it moving who is going to hate on me.

I don’t know if saying Hater is popular right now but 99% of the cats don’t have anyone hating on them, they are imagining cats hating on them. It’s like when a cat puts on club clothes and think before hand all the women will be choosing him because he has on a new shirt. Cats have a healthy imagination but this Hater saying has to die because most cats preparing for Hate that doesn’t exist!

I did enjoy and understand that podcast LOL. It was funny, but oh so true too.

I have a question. When you are starting out with your business shouldn’t you have a title for yourself in the beginning stages? I’m pretty sure you started out with some type of title before you became the all powerful wizard of business LOL. Seriously you need titles in the beginning don’t you think?

My man keep bringing the heat on these podcasts and I will keep spreading the word about Rise & Grind. I definitely agree that people seem to have become more fascinated with the idea of having “haters”, to the point where a dude with a $12 an hour job living in a regular-ass apartment with a regular-ass car thinks everyone is hating on him because he’s wearing new Jordans.

I’ve found myself having to point oot to people in a nice way that they really don’t have anything for someone to be hating on. The time spent worrying about so-called haters is just a waste.

Man I can’t agree with you more on this. I found out early in my corporate career that titles are just another pacifier the overseers use to keep the field hands quiet. Basically it makes people feel good to have some “cool” title. Hell it makes me feel good to have my pockets all swollen, so I always went for the loot and said f*ck the title. They when I started my real estate holding company, I just used a vague title like “Principal”. In actuality I’m just the dude that owns sh*t. Hell my tenants know who I am and that’s all that counts.

The funniest (in an irritating way) thing I see a lot around these parts are all the people that claim to be CEO of their little fantasy businesses that mostly exist in their minds. First off, how in the hell are you bothering to call yourself CEO of a one-man operation that has no legal structure? Don’t get me wrong, I understand the psychological gratification of “faking it until you make it”. But damn that’s such and over-worked title.

As far as haters go: Puffy started that sh*t. The way I see it there’s no need to even acknowledge losers. By the way look at the irony in the fact that we are talking about a completely irrelevant issue that we agree doesn’t really exist.

Hi FreeMan I am confused about this podcast. I do understand not to get caught in titles. And I am working on changing my mentality about how to conduct business. This weekend I started sitting for a patient in the hospital. This was my first assignment that kinda fell in my lap, but when the nurses came in to check her they wanted to know who I was. I must admit I wanted to give myself this fancy title, so that I could get referrals if they know patients that may need assistance to refer me to sit for them. I also had another case last night but the patient is not expected to live.

I think the worst thing another human being can do to another human being is kill their dream I think that is really what hate does. It’s folk talking down to you like just because they have a little education, money, opinions that they think they have the right to shit on someone’s dream. Hey if someone wants to “fake it to they make” what business is it of the next man. I am recognize more when I do put hate out because we all do or have done it that you are right you are only gone to get that back to yourself. And that hate is really someone being jealous, which is dumb because we ALL have something we’re good at and we just have to figure out how to make money from it.

I guess the more I talk the more I realize sometimes it is best to be quiet when I sdon’t know what I am talking about. That’s my lesson for today :)

@Freedom – Yes, I had a title when I started a business but it was more about what I did than I what I owned. So if you started your own plumbing business would you call yourself CEO or Master Plumber? Of course Master Plumber because that’s what you do but a lot of people want a grandiose kind of title that really gives your customers nothing to build on. A title is important but let it be about what you do instead of what you manage.

@Ron – Thanks I’ll keep trying to make it edutainment! It’s like someone made having Haters a sign of success when in reality its a sign of you being too loud with your hustle. I understand wanting to believe you are doing big things but imagining people that don’t like you is taking it a bit too far.

@Carl – LMBAO Titles are pacifiers from overseers. I have to agree with you on that one because I think people want to feel empowered so the guy on top just gives them another title to make them feel special. It’s like when you give kids the Hall Monitor position when in reality the dummy is missing recess to watch halls that no one uses. What a gift huh?

Did Puffy start it? Maybe so huh! Either way he has real complaints the cat at the barbershop talking about his imaginary women is a nobody. People need to look in the mirror and see if they are making something out of nothing.

@Freedom – Titles are important if they convey that you are able to do something. They are not important if you say them just to make people respect you. Really the person who doesn’t care about Titles just says whatever to get the job done. When I go out to meet people I am a Salesman, Broker, Lawyer, CEO and regular cat depending on who I am talking too. I use the titles to help me in my transactions I don’t use them for any other reason. I mean I don’t wear a name tag!

If people are looking down on you because of their title then you know they are weak. Take it in stride because this is the way the world is set up. Think back to Elementary and the smart kids got to shit on everyone because they were favored and appointed by the teachers. People are still thinking this way but YOU just need to be effective and in the end you will see that the Titles are a sign of people not going anywhere fast.

Ok. Thank you. Howabout my patient last night is still alive doctors gave up on her because she is 99 years old, but God had anything answer. I stayed by her bedside and rubbed her hand and read scripture to her. Her family members informed me today that she was breathing on her own.

You are right titles mean nothing because at the end or the beginning of each day it is about what we did in that day. What life we touched. And how we lived our lives. Not to be funny, but a psychic told me that I would live to be 98. Now if this is true what will be my life story, not my title? That is the question I am faced with because I want my life to count for something!

  9. R&G wrote:

You don’t have to do much to make your life count for something. Just tell what you know to someone else and that’s enough. People always want their life to mean something when it means something to the person you choose to help. Simple enough!
