Come back every Thursday as I want to highlight another one of US that have started a business. We got so many it's just a shame we didn't grow up knowing these names!

RIGHT! That is the least everyone can do for their children is teach them exactly what you do. My thing with CA is he went to other places and built it again. Like today people forget that Blacks are underserved and if we organize we can do businesses that benefit us. The changing of the papers name to the Star is also worth noting because he made it easier for his customers. So many of us get caught up in thinking about what we want instead of what the customer will buy.

This goes back to when we were talking about at least teach your children what you do. By the elder Mr. Franklin teaching his son the family business he was able to step right into the family business as editor, printer and distributor. They had their business on saving money on all fronts. And C.A had a secret weapon his mother by his side.

Just think if C.A. didn't postpone his dreams and go back home and then move and then train himself on a machine he didn't know how to use and moved again to expand for reaching a larger segment of African Americans He probably would not have met Miss Philadelphia the other piece of success besides "Mother editor".

Family values along with teach our children what we do is so important to keep family business passed and expanded to generations after generations...
